hello all, complete beginner so i apologize now if i make stupid uneducated comments or ask silly questions.
anyway... really enjoyed that break down, i have a mechanical engineering background so that really ticked the boxes.
questions:
so from comparison does that mean Noob is more accurate than H?
What is 'Noob' and 'H' ? are they manufacturers ?

Noob Maker - aka Creme de la creme (1 of 2 major Rep factories/manufacturers)

H-Maker (The other major rep maker/factory)

Noob is more accurate for many reasons - including better and more accurate movement, engraved panerai on the back, better quality dial, better crystal, better cg and case

take a look at the PAM guide and read what is written there. Also, take a look in the PAM section and you will notice that there are many posts reviewing the PAM111 from both makers.

The review here by Angus is fantastic but it is for the M model. Since this time the PAM 111N v3 has come out from both factories and so far the Noob version is regarded as one of the best out there. Take a look at some of the reviews for the known flaws in this model.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy!!!

Oh my friend you are a little late
Of course N series are better than M-series
This is an old thread, nowadys only valid to show the quality of Noob PAM replicas in general. But now things have evolved a lot.

We have just finished the discussion about why are better N-series V3 than V1, V2 and V2.5

Complicated ?

PT is down so the pics aren't loading, can anyone tell me what the upgrades were? Is it worth paying the extra $120 for the v3?

All is indicated in PAM GUIDE
The H maker cheaper is low beat V3 is high beat. Only that markes an imposrtant difference.

thanks for the great input Angus.

For the rest and Ale, maybe you can help enlighten me? Is there a BIG difference between this PAM 111 and PAM 005 apart from the transparent back and sandwich dial/sausage dial and logo at front??

so tempted to get both but budget does not permit :spank:

Wonderful comparison.
This post dated October 2011. So the Noob one was not V3. Sure the V3 improved a lot. Like to see more comparison between V3 and Gen and V3 Asian 6497 movement and Swiss.

Concerning case and structure there are not many improvements, just a better engraving in caseback, better crystal, better CP (sometimes) and inner square edges in CG.

Concening differences between Asian and Swiss movements, read these threads:
