Saw a comparison picture earlier today between SW dial and Gen dial. There is a difference but the SW looks very good to me.

@majwilliams0308 I would really appreciate it if you can explain a bit on SW dials use "stickers for lume" which I don't quite understand. My untrained eyes cannot find the trace of adhesive on lume.

I think he means that the lume plots are flat, like if they were made of stickers or scotch tape, and not "bubbly" as they should be

From photos posted by other members, the numerals and lume plots are not applied via stickers. I think "stickers for lume" was a figure of speech for the lume plots not being "bubbly", as @Tobel mentioned above. Unless you are examining this with a loupe I don't think this is a big deal.

Alright we’ve got SW, gen, and Buff. In no particular order. Can you tell which is which? Getting these in the right lighting outside to show the difference in sunburst was near impossible

You’re right!

Goes to show how close the SW dial is. The buff dial is great, but would be perfect if the sunburst was a bit less loud
Gen has less sunburst than buff and sw.
Gen has a smaller hole at the number 6 in the bow.
The 1 numbers on sw dial are fatter than on gen and buff.
Are you now going gen dial (maybe gen hands) on your 5167 projekt?

No the 6 is almost the same size on all of them.
SW 1 is maaaaaaaybe a tiny tiny bit fatter.

Yes gen dial but will probably use buff hands so I don’t need to mod gen hands to make them fit

Here's an Gen (Left) vs SW (Right) comparison. That dial is super good.

The lack of dome-shaped lume on hour markers is an instant tell.

I'm about to pull the trigger and order a SW dial and hands for my 3KF.
Two things hinder me to do that:

1) I read (but maybe I'm wrong) that buying Dial and Hands from same Factory does not grant to have matching lumes.
For this reason hands need to be re-lumed. The modder I prefer to work on my watches (the only and one JD) has not PP lumen and this would be a problem for me.

2) I see many great watches in most aspect, with miss-aligned dial/disc wheel. is this something common / that might be adressed?
Miss-aligned DW is something that is very eye-catching to me (even decimals of mm).
I think that a miss-aligned genuine DW is way worse than stock DW with perfect allignment (even with its terrible thin font).
Is something that a good modder can fix (I aim to have a SW dial, on a 3Kf watch with a custom DW from buff or Keylog with an ok centering).

Thanks in advance for your support

Go for a buff datewheel but there is no assurance it will be centered. There are centering issues on gen as well.
