Yep this is the JF. The plating on the links is not great. Better than TF but not thick enough and no one does a wrapped version. However on the wrist no one is going to notice and it indeed looks better in real life. For me it is probably a keeper as I am very fond of it.
I would not expect the plating to last forever but if you look after them they last pretty well. I have gotten more than a year out of some without any signs of wear. The wrapped TTs do not seem to wear at all. My Daytona is probably 3-4 years old and looks new. I regularly treat them with Renaissance wax as it is non corrosive. I hope this helps to prolong them.
It is BP but not the wrapped one. I picked it up cheap in M2M. @QueTip had the wrapped one briefly.Definitely helps! I see you also have the Rolex Datejust II two tone. Is that the BP wrapped one? If so, how is the gold plating on that one?
I really love this piece. I recently been starting to read about the BP wrapped version? Has anybody modded this piece with gen crystal , and gold bezel?
@QueTip may have had a franken of it for a brief time iirc it was the wrapped version.I really love this piece. I recently been starting to read about the BP wrapped version? Has anybody modded this piece with gen crystal , and gold bezel?
Even with it not modded it looks great!
Wear it in good health mate
Is the mid link on the Sel on yours plated gold or can you tell?@QueTip may have had a franken of it for a brief time iirc it was the wrapped version.
Mine is all plated, it is the cheaper version. TBH I have not bonded with this one. It wears quite big and I cannot get used to the fluted bezel. Is the mid link on the Sel on yours plated gold or can you tell?
