Is Lucy's Explorer I 2836 as accurate as the 2824?

Edit: Appears that it is...

FYI: I've noticed the rep numerals are skinnier and taller than the gen. This is true for the one in this thread:

And also Lucy and Trevor's rep with 2836 movement:

So is PT's or Lucy's better?

PT doesn't have the 36mm anymore. Nobody has the 114270 with 2824, I think they stopped making them. But aside from the movement, I'm pretty sure they're the same. If anyone sees any differences please PM me

Here's mine from 2008 from Josh at Perfect Clones. The dial is excellent. This was my very first rep, and not knowing any better I bought the high beat 21j not wanting to risk any more money. In hindsight, I wish I would have bought the ETA. The crown on Josh's ETA version back then was great.

Your dial looks to be more accurate than the ones available now... But is the LEC on yours noticeable on the wrist? It's really obvious in that photo.

A very good, if not an excellent Rep it is. The ones available now with the A2836 are the same exact ones you could get with a Swiss 2824-2 some time ago. Same everything except for the movement. I was lucky to have gotten Trevors very last one with a real Swiss ETA. I know it for a fact, as I asked him for the very same one after receiving mine, and he said, that's it buddy, no more Swiss ETA 2824-2's on this one !! I was lucky !! Nowadays, since we have Lucy of 'truetime168' able to get the very same one, I would trust her fully to get and pick you a good one. Just don't rush her. Nope. She likes to check it a dozen times and keeps it for a few days for a total test on its running good, etc. This model is certainly a 'cash and carry' Super Rep. in my book !! A poor mans TC if you wanna call it that way !! Ha ha ha !! ......and Soooo What if it's a 36mm ??? It's a great watch !! Period !!

It's a very accurate rep as summikito says. and I don't believe the numbers are different sizes than the gen. The pic of the gen is a different size than the pic of the rep. so there's no way to compare that way. but if you look in reference to the minute lines on the dial the numbers start and stop in the same places. There's minimal difference in font. but the size is almost exactly the same. It's a great watch.

I haven't received my 214270 from MR yet but when I was comparing my QC pics to the ones PixelLoupe put up I noticed that the white lines on the 3,6 and 9 are thicker than they should be! I completely missed it, first when ordering the watch from MR and second when I looked at my QC pics; was too preoccupied with checking the alignments etc

I'm sooo bummed out. Suppose I can always flip it and then buy the better version from Trevor or Lucy. Lesson learnt I suppose. Also in comparing the width of the numerals it looks like its fine.

Why do you say that?

I'll see how I go when I get it, if it's pretty noticeable up against my friends Gen then I'll buy the other one.

Trust me. It's a keeper. those are different pictures. there is no way you can compare something like that exactly with two different pictures like that. especially when the pictures are different sizes, and the light is hitting them different. That's a good watch. even if it is different there's not a person in the world that will notice something that small. remember these are macro pictures. everything is blown up 10 times how you see it in real life.

Wonder If JMBs bezel can make a difference in the bezel appearance. To me it makes a difference..not a whole lot though..

Yes, the LEC is plain as day. It drives me nuts. I'd much rather have none at all than one that stands out like this. I know that a couple of members here changed the crystal on theirs and it made a difference in overall appearance.

I am not positive about what to do with mine. The crown is the wrong shape, but more importantly my movement has been having issues. The auto wind stopped working properly 7 years ago and the watch will stop every once in a while even after I have wound it. I'll shake it and wind some more and then it will get going. Also, when pushing the crown in after setting the time, sometimes the minute hand will jump forward a few minutes. I'll have to go back and reset the correct time. It also runs a minute fast per day.

Back when I bought mine Josh offered it with a 2813 with 28.8k. That's what I took to save money.

Are these high beat 2813 movements even available anymore? Would a 4813 fit the same as this?

If I can get my movement figured out, maybe a new crystal and a new crown, then I'll be really happy.

Those are all 21,600bph. Mine is 28,800bph. I need to find a replacement for that.
FWIW, there's a small blurb here that reads:
NOTE: The 4813 has largely disappeared from reps to be replaced by a new movement generally described as a 'high beat 2813'. This movement is being used as an upgrade from the usual 21js and sometimes even as an alternative to the Asian ETA clones. Note, however, that the 'high beat 2813' name is a misnomer as it's not 2813 based. It's also gained an unenviable reputation of being rather unreliable, although more recent samples appear to be improving...
