is it the model 14270
2824 movement
228$ on the puretime site
this model is it good for swimming

Like I said, there's no difference between 14270 and 114270 except for movement, and rehaut engraving.

mine is waterproof.

There are 2 rep case types in the market. One is the one above with wider lugs. Another is the skinnier one that better resembles the gen. The skinnier one is of course more accurate but part of my rotation is the one same as above. It just gives a better wrist presence for me.

Cheers for this comparo, mate.

I was under the impression that the PT version was the one that had the smaller case. Based of silver's measurements, this version seems large. Does this mean that PT's current batch is different than the previous models he was selling?

I was also under the impression that the case was supposed to be the more gen-like version. Although pics on Puretime are unclear as to whether their version is the slimmer one.

Nice comparison there on the Explorer I [36mm]. When ordering this watch, don't get the model with the rehaut engraving as some do. Saves you the headache of wokytitis fever ! My Explorer I [36] has been my wear all day watch for a while now. That ETA 2824-2 [yes a real Swiss one] has been keeping time to just about COSC standards. It has been waterproofed, regulated, and all the good stuff. Hard to not call it a Super Rep. Cant get any better then this simple watch. For me at least, the 36mm is the way to go. Sporty, simple, elegant !

Above, you can see the differences in thickness. Rep is on the top.

I think that the case back of your rep is wrong.
I have received the same rep from PT and my case back is the same as the gen.

So can we clarify something here. How much bigger is the diameter of this than the gen? 0.5mm?

What do you guys think of the crown on Lucy's? Is Puretime out of stock permanently?

That is really great, I have looked for a comparison of the 36 explorer I. Do you feel the thickness difference on your wrist?
