This model is even rarer and better than a gold wrap one because it can be polished and wont rub off off. This is the best version to own in my opinion.
Wrapped gold may have a better color and thicker mass than plated gold but plated gold (even though alot less is used in the process, 5 to 10 microns) is more durable because it reacts with the base metal while wrapped gold only is "wrapped" on top of the base metal. This makes the plated gold more durable than wrapped gold because on impact damage wrapped gold is rubbed off while plated dents with the base metal it reacted with. Although wrapped gold used more gold in the process its still not really a sufficient amount to be really worth sonething. The wrapped gold on the twbedt is most likely not any thicker than 20 microns .
Both metals will rub off after a while and wrapped gold is not replatable (in any easy or cost efficient way) also brushing and polishing it is problematic
Thats why I prefer the steel version, because it can always be restored with light brushing and polishing and will look good for ages.
Weight is like gen (135gr with all links, gen yg is 138 with all links on) I believe the yellowgold twbest weighs less because of the base metal used?
Also all parts sre interchangeable with gen such as bezel, crystal, crown and dial.
