Hello everyone!
This watch has been out of production since about 2006 , some of the older guys here may remember when Eddie Lee was around ,and he was the only one I believe that sourced these back then
I purchased my first one in 2000 from a website called "SwissReplica.com" (I think that was the name) for $1000.00 !
yup thats right one thousand! the website claimed that the watch could be tested and will pass as "solid gold"
of course the first thing I did was to have my jeweler friend test it upon arrival , and sure enough it passed as solid gold
I wore that first watch for about 4 years everyday even outside in the Florida heat and the gold never wore off ,but was starting to "flake" off in the 4th year ! only inside the band were the clasp would produce friction , the rest of the watch was fine, I took that watch apart and salvaged the swiss ETA 2836 inside into another watch that I had for another 4-5 years ,always ran perfect and I never serviced it!
the second watch I purchased from EDDIE LEE around 2005? for I Believe $550 ,same watch as before, Eddie Lee said they were made in TAIWAN , so I did get ripped off on the first one for a $1000! I ended up trading it off for my first DW 6263 !
That watch I sadly missed for all these years and was the biggest regret of getting rid of it, but who knew that they were going to stop making these beautiful watches!
I have searched almost everyday all these years (since 2007) to see if I could find one in the sales forum, never had any luck! I basically gave up...
Then a few days ago ,I couldn't believe my eyes! I found one ! and at a ridiculously low price at that! after all these years! and in MINT condition too! WOW!
these watches can be spotted in 3 ways ,the end links are exactly the way Rolex made them "underneath" , the TW Best had the ugly non 3-D non correct case back sticker with the huge numbers(should be 18238 not 118238) in gold YUK!
and the clasp was in "rose gold" exactly like the gen!
enjoy the pics guys ,as this may be the only time you'll ever see one of these!
