Is there a general consensus that ARF white dial/platinum 40mm is a better version than Noob white dial/platinum 40mm? How is the DW font in this ARF version nowadays? Thanks!

ARF DW now is perfect!
For platinum version ARF is more near to gen 116622, Noob have color dial similar to 16622 version. I chose ARF for the platinum version.

Hot off the press..TomRep's new 'premium' 99% platinum bezel treatment, alongside current Standard (85-90%, his words) platinum bezel treatment--gen dial utilized for photos to demonstrate (lack of) contrast with bezel.

he told me that the tone is not as cold as before. it has the gen like warmth in- and outdoors. needs mixing (reproducible), therefore way more effort.

ARF fixed the DW somewhen at the end of last year on all their YM variants. If you do the bezelmod, they provide amazing value ootb!!
is there anybody with a noob 316 platinum dial for comparison, would be interesting to see..

)Noob 316L platinum had the right dial for 116622. It is the new Noob 904L platinum dial which seems to me to have the most accentuated color of the 5-digit 16622 perhaps even more beautiful than the 6-digit which soon abandoned platinum dial production leaving space for blue and rhodium.

Thanks buddys! Really appreciate the helpful atmosphere of this forum. Will go with the ARF then. And have to keep the Tomrep bezel mod in my mind.

Something to consider...
For anyone wanting to franken, the new Noob 904L is the way to go...
1 - They come with the VR3135 movement (purchased in Nov 2019 and March 2020. Both had VR3135)
2 - Amazing case quality and almost perfect rehaut and polish
3 - The post COVID Noob bracelets are great - the bracelet feels heavier in hand like ARF and clasp is vastly improved. In fact the open/close is almost like ARF now
4 - The insert fonts are a perfect replica of the 5 digit YMs. With TomRep sand basting they shimmer like the gen in sunlight.

the old formula bezelmod is still 100€
if you want the extra percentage in warmth and color, called the premium mod (new formula), it’s 200€
you can still get both options, no need to pay the premium, just optional for gen like warmth of color
bracelet mod is still 100€ too

Only Rhodium and Platinum (if you want the 5 digit dial). But my comments were with the assumption that you are putting a gen dial.

Gen platinum develops patina with use (becomes darker)
Attached is a comparison - First pic is a gen 116622 bezel (older model, has been used for a while). The second pic is of a Noob insert modded in March. He charged me $100 for the mod but it seems like the Premium Mod shade. Anyways as you can see, gen is a bit darker (more patina look). I just mailed Tom a new Noob insert, let’s see how the colors come out.
