Special price is for YM 2824. Can you tell me if case 2824 is different to SA3135? I need to buy watch 1:1

True 1:1 will be the 3135 case only. The 2824 movement height and crown/tube position is "slightly" different. But maybe these tolerance may not be noticeable on wrist. I have read in this forum before where members have modded 2424 cases to fit Rolex movements.

Also its plausible that both 2824 and 3135 Noob cases are the same They might be doing something different inside (like movement holder) to fit both movements in same case. I have not seen a side-by-side comparison on this one.

in TD, it depends, if you have a good relationship on your TD and your TD has a good relationship in the factory, then the factory MIGHT sell one to your TD. But I doubt that they will sell only the dial as for sure they would like you to buy the whole thing

Marco1937 the main difference you're looking at is the difference in steel... 904l vs 316f. Some people swear there is a difference, and maybe there is. But anyone I have talked to that works with metals (which has only been two people honestly) has said it's a total gimmick.

I nonetheless take some small satisfaction in knowing it's the "same" steel that Rolex uses. I say "same" because it's a lower quality and there is a lot more that goes into it besides simply the "type" of steel.

Regardless, the 316f is likely discontinued, so you may not be able to get it. Or there may be some leftover stock. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Also be aware that the SA3135 has been a problematic movement for quite a few people, while some have had perfectly fine experiences.

Can you tell me if version 2824 has the date window in the same place as 3135/Gen? I usually try to buy rep with clone movement both for the proportions of the dial and for the thickness of the watch (which for the YM tell me it is identical)

Even if you got the case to accept the VR movement, you’d need a 3135 dial. The 2824 dial has the datewindow cut slightly differently to account for the 2824 datewheel placement below (the placement is different for a 3135 datewheel). So the VR datewheel will not be perfectly centered with a 2824 dial (or vice-versa).

My Noob had the SA3135, so it was a straight for the Yuki. I will shortly be upgrading the Yuki to a VR3135 with gen rotor assembly, as I’ve already got the parts.

Here the answer for my previous question ;-) Dial 2824 has proportions other than 3135/Gen
