Could you tell us the most notable differences between the two watches, please?
I haven't done my side by side review yet. Maybe it will be delayed a bit since the gen PO didn't pass the pressure test at the AD today. But I'm in within warrantey, so I have to figure this out.

But the main takeaways are the following:
  1. Color of the seamaster and 600m/2000ft on the dial is off. The gen is kind of more vibrant.
  2. The markings on the bezel are different due to the gen using liquid metal. On the gen it's nearly flush where the rep is kind of milled out.
  3. The bracelet of the rep is nice, the bracelet of the gen is a tank.
  4. The SN engravings on the back of the gen a bit darker.
  5. stem play when pulled out is worse on the rep
That should be the main points. 1 and 2 are noticeable, 1 only if one has a gen to compare or owned a gen imho. 2 seeable from the right angle.
3,4,5 are no biggies in my eyes.

More to follow as soon as I know what happens to my gen

This is in my top 3 favourite watches. I have never managed to take a photo of how stunning this looks in real life.

In your 1000+ watches, you can narrow it down to a "top 3"?
Wow! What are the other top 3 watches?
I actually can lol.

1. 5513 build by the one and only @tripdog
2. LMPO V2/1/gen Hybrid that has been with my watchmaker more times than I can shake a stick at.
3. Vac modded VC Deepstream.

This thing is sublime. It's so simple yet dramatic. As of right now, it is my favourite watch, period.

The fact that you can Super Franken this rep with everything gen except the mid case, case back and movement, for so little, seems insane.

Thank you, @C Master. If not for your LMPO wristies, I may well have continued to overlook the PO.

I have done it many times. All I have on mine now is a gen bracelet. The rest is just stock. This is such an easy goto watch. It looks great and wears great.

Hello everyone, I've been looking at the forum for a while and I'd like to start buying my first rep, a Planet Ocean 42,43,5 or 45mm. I look a bit on all the TD sites (even if they are not up to date) and I see that there are OMF, VSF and even sometimes NOOB V12 (even I understand well that because of the closure of NOOB, it must be stocks that they have left, but not really passing the QC ?). Which factory do you think is the best at the moment? Because VSF makes me a little afraid for the problems of crowns (I will surely not be able to repair if it fails), OMF I have not really found a review on it and NOOB seems good with their LMPO but is it really still available and who passes the QC.
Thanks

I don't know enough about the POs to respond to all you questions, but from personal experience, I believe the remaining LMPO "Noob" stock is very limited. This is because the QC images I was sent were recycled; i.e., I received images of watches I'd previously rejected. Hopefully someone else can provide more helpful info.

My current quest is to find another 42mm 2201.50.00 and a 2201.51.00. Unless I want to buy pre-owned gens through Chrono24, etc., or someone posts in M2M, my quest could be a long one.

This was a bloody bargain!
