I have a really geeky tweak for these "value" rivet bracelets....

The screws on the removable links can be replaced by rivets....ok so you need to size it to your wrist, but there is always an adjustment in the clasp, and the rivets can be removed again fairly easily with a blade.

Don’t know if anyone is producing them for sale on the forum but I was wondering if anyone has 2 line gilt dials for 2824 movements for sale ( not ones done with gold paint / print ) in tropical or black finish. Preferably tropical, if so what are you charging for them and do you ship to UK ? I think it would be the finishing touch for my ongoing build. Aged Raffles case and rivet bracelet, lugs drilled for correct spring bar, brassed bezel with Athaya lume pip and Athaya crown fitted. The Raffles dial looks ok but I think a gilt dial would finish the watch nicely.

Try @manodeoro he does film free decal dials. Here's the one he did for me, it's true negative relief but for a lot less money.

Just a few images of my 6538 build, Raffles, case, bracelet, dial and hands with Sellita sw200 no date movement. All aged with brassed bezel no hash insert with Athaya lume pip and Athaya crown. I drilled and chamfered the lugs then gave it an over polished look

Been super into the big crowns again as of recently, and I've decided to pull out the old Silix case that I had from years ago. I no longer have the actual bezel assembly, just the actual metal bezel. The crystal is the original Silix one, albeit shaved and lowered by a bit.

I aim to slowly build this 6538 in the coming months, but I was just curious if I can even get the other parts such as the bezel assembly and crown for this case? I plan on getting either an HR or manodeoro dial, a cheaper low beat movement, and a non hashmark insert from Raffles, for this build.

Any suggestions?

Here's the side profile. I actually grinded the tops of lugs a little bit to simulate the curvature of the real 6538 cases.

You did a nice work on the lugs

The Silix cases I worked on had no retaining ring ... the rehaut had a groove and the bezel was held in place on with a "paperclip spring".
So could you share a pic without the bezel to check if it's the same assembly ?
If you are in the same situation, you can make your own paperclip spring from very fine metal wire ... I'll search for one and share pics.

About the crown you can order one from Athaya ... 7mm brevet crown and tube ... but you'll have to remove the existing tube then drill and tap the casing.
You also will need a stemp extension from Cousins ... Ø0.90 - Ø1.20mm (Tap 9 to 12) ... to make the 2824-2 stem fit on the Athaya Brevet crown
