Todays raffles build, don’t want to age it yet, maybe after iv enjoyed the fresh look for a while
Aged cartel vs new raffles. Not sure which I prefer, must I have favourites?
Swapped out the cartel stock dial and hands, aged, did some case work and brassed the bezel

Thanks! No it’s a raffles dial and iv done the aging on it. Though I do want to do a build with a true gilt dial so I may be asking someone with more skill than me to sort me out with one
Where did you get this folded links bracelet? Beutifull watch.Helenarou Bond style 6538 with sapphire xtal, Sellita Sw200, rivet bracelet and waterproofed to boot. Yes that’s a big ass crown!

I like the aging you did to the dial what was your process?
Did a lil work to mine the other day
sanded down the crystal to give it a lower profile. better.
swapped insert to a sun faded tropical hash.
was toying with the idea of selling it but I think I want to keep it and add an athaya crown .

A mixture of all the things iv been trying so far, some failing and some working out well
I burnt coffee under the grill then pressed the dial into it, only to make pit marks not to colour the dots. Then brown wash paint very watered down on the markers. Then a watered down varnish over the dial (bonesy style). Then used weathering powder with ash and rust colours before it was fully dry, just sprinkled it on the dial blowing bits away until I was happy with it. Then sprayed matte from the other side of the room just to finish it offnice job... the dial looks great. the hands need a bit more aging to match the dial lume and you will be golden!
Agreed! Not happy with the hands but I’d reached that point of the day where I couldn’t be arsed to do anymore
