Its just Absolutely silly how damn nice that watch is. That is a full phong build with an MQ Dial yes?

Thank you Mike! You're close!

Phong case reworked to get massive chamfer associated with these big crowns
Phong bezel assembly
Gen crown
Gen hands from a gen big crown
Gen 1030 movement, serviced running COSC +2 sec/day from a gen big crown
Engravings to match a 1958 big crown
MQ top grade dial aged over 7 years by the maker (who actually forgot about it). Notice the incredibly cool patina with water spots from the humidity.
Dial relumed with tritium : luminova mix to match hands and pearl.

This build was more expensive than most Daytonas. Which is saying a lot given that a gen spec Daytona is a costly build.

It doesn't just tell time. It tells history.

So I finished this one today, I aged a raffles dial but it's not my favourite, I have a better dial on its way to me but for now

There would be less road rage in France if everyone had a 6638 gilt to look at while sitting in traffic!

it's dangerous!!!! when I had my gen spec 6538 that I got from @droptopman I almost got in so many fender benders staring at the sunlight reflecting off the watch face in different angles while holding the steering wheel!!!

So today I had to take my 6538 apart as it had a big white spec on the dial, well big when photographed or looked at under a loupe but it was bugging me all the same, now I am happy

I finished a new case today, much better than my 1st one, a bit smoother, lightly faded insert and new strap

I'm going to try a higher end build next once I get all the parts organised
