Bart I figured you had developed another amazing dial technique in the down time. Great work as always.
and... I'm back in the club folks..... hats off to @TheSociety for this build... black gloss in normal light and a chocolate brown in sunlight - cant beat a real gilt dial folks...

I fully admit my ignorance when it comes to the big crown builds--what's the verdict on the best case to base a build on (other than Phong please, lol), Silix? Will Helenarou dials fit a Silix case?
I've seen a lot of fantastic dials and hands here-- I'd love some opinions on the best place to source real gilt dial/hands? The MQs are nice, but probably overpriced, as I've seen some gilt dials made members here that look just as good, IMO anyway. Thanks in advance for any advice or insights.

The helenrou and silix both use 29mm dials so an hr dial in a silix case is fine. .

Yeah, I wanted one that was waterproof for the summer, my next one is a Minh case but so far I have only bought the case, then I will get the rest of the parts as money let's me

I rubbed the bezel down to the brass this evening. Next I will try to slim the case down a bit and shape a plexi crystal to fit , if I can't get a good fit I will have to keep the sapphire crystal as I want to keep decent water resistance
