The HR dial is beautiful but it is not a true gilt. To get a negative relief (gilt) dial the gold lines / writing has to be underneath and the black layer goes on top. This is why true gilt dials costs $400-$900 and sometimes more - some might say this is a crazy price for a rep dial but until you've seen one in a person you won't understand how much more defined it is. Totally worth it if you're doing a 4-5k superfranken with gen movement.

For a 1k or less build I would say Silix provides a good base, throw in a Yuki or HR dial, some case work and a nice leather strap and you're good.

This is an MQ gilt dial with natural patina.

Yes it has 80 endlinks.
Compared to the photos I could see, it's the same as Yuki.

That's exactly what I was thinking, a vintage aged Yuki. Considerably cheaper too, if he accepts a lower bid. Plus Yuki charges $45 to ship.
