I have this in my collection and agree with you that it is currently the best looking diver produced by AP. This is subjective though, the new divers may give this a run for its money.

I know you do... :)

I cannot agree. JF crystal is perfect.

I can't, for the sake of me, justify 300USD of (debatable) cosmetic enhancements to then find yourself with that ugly ass datewheel.

This was mine for the record, and yes I do believe the rep looks nicer than the gen.

Yeah i admit I am a sucker for extreme AR jobs...

new ones are cool but somehow do not hooze " Relaxed luxury" as much as the rose gold do...

There is nothing wrong at all of course liking double AR.
The objective issues with it, other than the visual inaccuracy vs the gen crystal, is of course, the durability of the outer layer. No matter how careful you are, the layer will eventually wear or tarnish, due to friction, heat or contact. There is a reason why many gen luxury brands don't use double AR on their crystals, for pragmatic consideration. But like I said, these are reps, and meant to be worn for fun and novelty. You should wear them like you love 'em.

3rd, 4th, 2nd, 1st for me. All gorgeous. Like them all better than plain 15703 ironically

Well yes I agree. The gen 15703 is a basic black/steel watch and it does not stand out in any way. Using different materials and colors can help breathe some life into a staple but vapid looking watch.

The new driver hands are gorgeous ( love the curvature at the end of the lume on the hour hand) and I guess a hell lot more difficult to rep than the current ones (which as legend would say, are ‘totally wrong in their geometry and an eyesore to the AP lover’)

To answer your question about the hand lume, I got what you were trying to explain and the answer is that if you know your gens, it’s one of the tells yes.

If the straps you were referring to are the rubber straps, the buckle is definitely detachable like the plots. Can I then ask what the “TT” refers to? Reading back your post in this context doesn’t make sense. Will you care to explain so we can have a better idea?

The XF FC diver details have been covered quite extensively and you can read about it and make your own decision. In short I like the hands, dial, case, datewheel and instant date change feature due to the A2836 movement used. Do your own reading and make your own decision. My opinion isn’t absolute and is only one of a gen AP owner. I owned a used gen FC diver before for about 3 months and sold it after the xf was released and used it as a base to build a replacement. I sold the build after more members started wearing one. The XF FC diver isn’t 1:1, don’t get me wrong but it’s the best ootb AP rep currently IMHO

Hey I read all your responses on the recent XF Diver Threads, thanks again for your replies in those threads and this one.

From what I understand, the XF FC diver has been sold out and out of production for a while, with no knowing if they'll start production again (seems unlikely)

However the JF version is available. You said the hands, dial, case, and date wheel... I couldn't find your comments or others' comments about these in other threads, maybe I need to look at older posts to find it.

I understand the date change being different due to the different movement used.

Also since this is a JF v6 and not a V10 like the 15703, the arbitrarily named "ghost lines" are surely absent as well.

Other than that, I am struggling to understand what makes it worse. I guess I'll start at some photos of gen and see what differences I can find. The hands seem a lot whiter than the JF 15703 v10 based on puretime photos.

Ok it seems based on pics I can find online, the hands and inner bezel yellow are darker on the XF v3 than the JF v6, which is more true to gen. Correct me if I'm wrong

Also I'm realizing now the XF v3 was released over a year later, so it makes sense that it is better.

Too bad it's sold out/out of production...

I don't know if it will be useful to someone, but I report my experience with ZF
At the end of last year I got a ZF ap 15400 white dial (v2) with the usual sharpen bracelet.
A few days ago, I got a new Zf Ap 15500 blak dial (v2). Compared with the 15400 from the same factory, its bracelet is a lot smoother on wrist.
The finish is certainly different as it does not scratch like that of the 15400. But visually they are identical.
I don't know if in Zf they have started to remake the bracelets better or it is a coincidence that the latter arrived does not have the sharpness of 15400.
