Just stumbled upon this thread. These builds are fantastic!

I am now seriously considering a mission to Pluto build (off-white dial, red subdials) on a Pagani design with the red bezel. I think it would look sick.

My only concern is the Pagani red bezel is really bright red and the Pluto is more magenta no?

I suspect the cheap speed reps are using the same case (or similar variation) of the one I used on my build. The cheap speedy reps i've seen on DHGate, etc all seem to be using the same case which I think it what I used on my build. But report back and let us know!
I've included a few links to the bits I've ordered.

The moonswatchs I have a few of already.

But what I like most about this rep is it has an 'omega' caseback, bracelet clasp and crown. So perfect for the project. Cheap too!

This is where I got my moonswatchs, they come with the movement holder that should fit straight into the case allowing the omega crown to be used.....🤞 Also cheap!

The printing on the 3 o'clock subdial isn't right either, it has too many indices, I'm unsure if I can remove the unwanted ones using acetone on the end of a wooden cocktail stick.

My speedy rep arrived this morning, it is perfect for the task at hand....but it's also so nice as it is, since this should be a pretty straightforward movement, dial and hands swap I can alternate between which way I have it.

Here is the rep, bracelet, crown, clasp and caseback. I think they will suit this project perfectly.

Sooo DHGate shipped me a another Mission to Moon instead of Mercury so one of my builds isn't going to happen. Going to build another Mission to the Moon like my first one and sell it in the classifieds here for my cost.

The 2nd build parts arrived but the bezel that I thought was white in the listing pics turns out is actually brushed silver so my Uranus build took a slightly different outcome than expected but I think it still looks good. Don't know what other color strap to put it on as blue's just never match the exact hue so I think it will live on this StrapHabit FKM strap.

Looks nice, wears nice, and I like the rep iridecent blue face vs. the flat gen. Happy with both of them. Still highly recommend this project to anyone. Very simple/straight forward and the outcome is very nice for the money. Looks and feels a lot nicer than the $60 it costs to build.

So I have zero mechanical ability
It takes me an hour to remove a bracelet strap
I have little faith in my ability to put this together if I buy the rep MPI watch and the case above
Could a 5th grader do it?
Is it ridiculously easy?
If not I won’t try

It's pretty much 5th grader status. Hardest part would just be being able to tighten down the aluminum caseback on the new case if you don't have a Rubber 8 ball or caseback removal tool (which costs maybe 5 bucks on ebay/ali?). Only other thing you'd need is a small flat head to remove the original plastic caseback (so you can pry it off) which you can also use to release the crown from the movement.
