Guys, are we mistaken? Here is a video of a platinum DD40 with fluted bezel, I thought only smooth existed in gen?

also, I suppose it is too early to know if a gen sub crystal will fit? The lack of AR is gonna drive me nuts and I really want one of these. Since they're both 40mm wouldn't it theoretically fit?

This doesn't surprise me. So many have posted about the smooth bezel platinum version already. But here's the thing, if you go to Rolex and ask them for a DD40 ice dial in platinum and you want a fluted bezel, the will make one for you.

Am vascillating between that and the silver dial: The silver dial in the photos appear to have that sunrays effect despite the lines while that of the grey dial isn't quite there --- at least in the pictures from the TD's. Looking forward to your pictures of the grey dial, mate! Hope it shows the sunrays!

I am opting for the YG myself but would like the gold roman dial with it. Alas the font of the days look a bit off. But that might be something I can get fixed

The day and date wheel should be white not gold for the YG champagne Roman numerals dial combo on this particular watch.

I wanted the YG DD with champagne dial but it's wrong as ****. Personally I believe they used the dial from the DD2 as the date window is too small.

Not hard to get a decent dwo and day font for the day date though.
Are the dials of the dd40 bigger than the dd 36. Or is the difference only in the cases. Might be a nice one to mod (if the case accepts gen parts) with gen crystal and dial
