There is no such thing as a "perfect version" unless you buy gen. Each of the versions have there own "flaws" some bigger then others. It's all about what you are willing to live with.

Most have been discussed in this thread so if you go through it you will read about the differences. For me accurate gold color is the most important thing so I went for the BP 18k wrapped and I'm very happy with it.

Been looking through this whole thread since this morning. Really interested in getting the new DD with green dial, i knew BP did the most accurate reps but after reading about the noob release and EW, im starting to think which is the best repped??

I have a gmt master noob v2 as my first rep rolex and you cant go wrong with noob quality but maybe im thinking that the BP or EW has the better DD....

Could anyone with a BP/EW give us a little insight into which would be the better purchase... My brain is fried!!

Perfect dd40 ? Not noob, not BP but EW + BP dial

Talking about BP dials, i recommend green for 228239 - silver roman for 228238. These two are closest to gen

Noob could have done A LOT better with the current lines of dd40 but they decided to hold the trigger. Making room for next version. I do not recommend this version, unless you're a noob fan then go for it

Although EW is a small/new factory but what special about them is that they are making truly 1:1 reps . In fact, they nailed the current dd40 + Datejust II line

There are a lot more to talk about but if you're interested, don't hesitate to shot me a pm

I wonder what have noob done to 'achieve' this stretchy bracelet. They did good with their DDII but this ?

The lume for the noob versions are to thick compared to gen. It seems they have re used the same size indices that the datejust II models have.

The day dates are noticeably thinner.

What about the one with the romans and not the lume? The romans look pretty decent right? Looks quite similar to my gen from those pics.

What are the other flaws? It looks like the bracelet is better quality than the BP version? I'm hoping Noob bracelet are substantially heavier as well.

Some of the Roman numeral ones look good. I noticed that on 1 or two of them had crooked markers. The individual lines for the 2,4,8 etc. aren't always even so if you were to order one just make sure to check you QC very carefully. BP had the same issue in the beginning but they have corrected it.

I also noticed the date wheel seems left justified on the examples I saw. This was on pure time but again this could just be a QC issue and vary.

The problem with these particular bracelets is the fact that each link is so much smaller then say the link for a Sub or Daytona so there isn't much weight and also no thick clasp to help add to it. Someone will need to buy one and weigh it to really compare it to bp.

Yesterday i got the Gen Day-Date 40 Presidential (YG/Silver/Roman) on my wrist & holy sh*** it blew me away.
So i just ordered the BP version of this. Hope the flaws are not that big and i can live with them :)

The visual flaws aren't that bad but coming from wearing the gen. you will be 100% disappointed with the weight difference that's for sure.

hm okay i will see if the low weight gives me the feeling of wearing something "cheap" . I´m really exited :)
I saw that you had the exact same DD40 that i ordered and you sold it, were you not satisfied ?
