Yea I just bought the yellow gold bp.

Would you advise wearing it everyday for a year?

If I wore it for a year would the gold wear off?

How heavy could I wear it before it tarnishes

If your careful and take good care of it I can't see why not. I would give it a nice cleaning every so often. Things like sweat will contribute to it tarnishing much quicker.

For reference i wore my full gold TW best as an everyday watch for over 10 years in salted oceans and heavily chlorinated pools and it has held up very nicely. I can't guarantee that the BP will hold up as well but it's certainly possible.

I am just an amateur but I think that noob factory focused more on movement decoration and slightly made that date font more accurate. Not sure if it just looks weird but Like @Versaceboy54 said, I dont like that emblem either.

The movement decoration doesn't look great either imho lol. I never could understand the point these decorated plates...Anyone who opens the watch would know instantly its fake anyway so what's the point? Plus I think when a decorated plate is used a thicker case is needed to fit the plate on top of the movement.

I'd take a new Swiss ETA 2836 like the one my BP any day!

Sorry im so noob with this app. Versaceboy54 just posted here pictures about yellow gold versions, plated vs wrapped. Nickjames did also compare those all YG links, plated wrapped and gen. Pictures can be found somewhere here, Wrapped YG seems to be spot on as colourwise.

Do these gold plated reps actually contain any gold? If I melted the whole watch down. Would I get a gram of gold???

For the gold plated ones I dont think so. The wrapped ones may contain real gold but I haven't had it tested yet. My TW Best tested positive for 18kt gold though.

Noob is out but EW DD still a winner

If you plan to buy a DD40, get EW as you will help them to grown bigger & better in the future

To my eye the EW is better quality overall with better day/date positioning. IN what ways do you see the noob being better?

I don't know which pic of EWF you saw but the day positioning seems quite far off. It's sitting to the left.

Also, the coronet on the dial is too small. The dial pattern is quite nice though.
The text on the dial appears to be slighty different compared to gen.

Gen for reference

NOOB

The dial pattern on the NOOB is completely off though, I'd advice against getting this platinum one and going for one of the white gold options.

Main thing for me while deciding between any of the factories would be the weight of the watch. Many people have commented that the Day Date from BP is very light and has a flimsy bracelet. I'd be curious to hear if anyone has a EWF or a NOOB and could comment on the bracelet and the overall feel of the watch. At the end of the day, a small error on the dial is less of a tell than a watch that feels very cheap.

Noob also messed up the size of lume markers. They are way to fat compared to the gen. Both BP and EW have gotten this rite though.

You're right, maybe the noob isn't that good after all.
All versions seem to have their up and downsides.

I'd love to hear more about the EW. I thought I was going to get a BP for sure but this makes me rethink it a bit

It also looks like all factory's are using the wrong crown. They all have two dots while it should be one single dot.

After checking some pics from my TD it seems like the BP version does have the single dotted crown.
