Ok been reading this thread. Made choice and trying to make purchase of RG pink dial with Roman numerals. Reached out to my normal dealer puretime. Out of stock pick something else. Ugh- any suggestions on another dealer? Maybe location to the factory is the issue?

Ah ok... Just wondering then if it's possible to get a plated version and then getting it warpped yourself from a jeweler.. Would that be cheap

I'm not sure if they make a plated version black dial with Roman numerals either. Did you find it on a site?
Do you know of a jeweler that does gold wrapping? I doubt it would be any cheaper bc you going to have to pay labor and stuff but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yea I heard that from back in August when bp released the plated versions but I think they may come out with them soon.
For day dates bp has always been the better factory especially for yellow gold color. I don't know if you have seen the thread on reepgeek where the gen gold sub link was compared the wrapped link it color was identical.
It will be nice to see what JF and noob can bring.

Thats not true. Noob made the best day date 2 model. BP stuff has always been decent at best until recently, ie "dial colors being off, crown guards etc" even a few of these dials are off in shade to gen. BP is just typically the fastest to the market with new models. That's their technique of gaining business, early bird catches the worm. They released their yachtmaster rg edition way before noob or JF, their Basel 2016 Daytonas as well. However both had a lot of flaws. It's typical with that factory. Don't get me wrong, these watches look good, especially for the money but the quality of BP has never been and honestly probably never will be on par with those two factories. It's not their business model. Offering wrapped models is a great way to make someone buy a product, since most others don't offer. However they seem to not fix the flaws when they release a wrapped model. Great marketing strategy, slap a bandaid by not really fixing anything go the simple route to entice people with a pretty gold thin wrap and people will buy it. Just my .02

Yes I agree with what your saying about bp as a whole and their strategy. I honestly feel noob makes better quality parts in general.
I should have been more clear with what I was trying to say. I was really just talking specifically about the yellow gold color and how it's the closest to gen.
I would love to see a side by side comparison between the gold color of the noob day date, gen and this wrapped version. Or the noob day date, bp plated, bp wrapped and gen!

Has anyone tried to buy a RG DD the last few days. All dealers are out of stock. Anyone know what the situation is? My game plan right now is let mt trusted dealer hold on to my money for a little while to see if it comes back into stock
