Nice guys!
Cybee....... :spank:
Fun to resurrect some old threads from members long gone. Maybe Higgy has this thread subscribed?
Another coffee freak here, I drink 5-6 cups a day. I would drink more if I could but at some point the shaking starts.
Our everyday beans are "Blue Butterfly" (Papillon Bleu) from Guadalupe, which in my opinion is at least as good as the Blue Mountain from Jamaica (if not better), but only costs a quarter of its price.
Coffee maker is a Jura ENA 7, which is more than enough for what we need to do since we have no interest in fancy drinks like lathes and other cappuccinos.

I've just received some new beans from a supplier on amazon, 1kg bags £10-12. I've bought the blue mountain blend before and they excellent, not as good as the wallenford estate ones that I've just finished, the Mysore ones are a new try for me so look forward to them.
Have you got a link to the beans you talk about Wiz, would be interested in trying them if you recon they are as good as Wallenford estate blue mountain.

Well, if you're as much of a coffee junkie as I am, you sure know there is blue mountain and blue mountain. For £12 the kilo I can't even imagine what's in the bag.
Sure you can find a bargain once in a while, but if a guy manages to sell blue mountain at that price all year long, you can be sure something is wrong.
Here is a link to a website that sells Blue Butterfly, basilcally £40 the kilo, which is pretty much alright compared to proper Blue Mountain which costs £100-150 the kilo.

+1 one for "analog" coffee. Its the best way to brew in my opinion.
I used to make coffee with a French press every day until I visited a local roastery a while back. I saw a strange looking plastic thing the barista used to brew a single cup for a customer. I asked about it and I got a typical coffee nerds lecture about the science of coffee making and a sample cup made with the thing. The revolutionary thing was called called the Aeropress. The cup was magical. I had thought that the French press was the best thing for making a simple cup. Apparently I was wrong. The aeropress gives you total control on the brew if you want to. Are there any other users onboard?
Unfortunately this is where most of my coffee comes from........
........and it certainly bloody tastes like it's shipped in this........
