Since JMB is doing another case run, do you think we could get together and group source some higher end dials so we can get a discount on custom? Anyone in?

Yes I would be down for that. I want to build a 62- 1016 with an exclamation mark dial
crown is taller , gilt chapter ring and the exclamation point at 6.

Just wanted to mention that I have also finished a batch of bezels to fit the T21 crystal which is more rounded than the service replacement T22 crystal. The T21 is meant for vintage Daytona models and fits the case but since it is small in OD requires a different bezel. So, a case can be had with either a T21 or T22 crystal.

How did you age the dial?

I have a dial on the way and contemplating what to do with it. I watched a video of a guy who put his black dial in a glass of Coke, it turned out brown. But i'm wondering if that'll just dissolve the lume plots, leaving with a blank, brown dial. lol

Interesting I have not tried this... i wil have to check out that vid

I used transparent air brush paints...to give it the tropical water damaged look

The Dial is Yuki eta dial
Case is JMB with a Clarks T21 crystal
The T21 and T22 are different diameter and JMB makes the bezel to fit the crystal you wish to use. Both crystals fit the mid case...but the bezel is the difference

The T22 will fit the case even though it's meant for a vintage Daytona. The "skirts" are thinner on the T22 which makes it about .020" smaller in OD which would requires a special bezel.

JMB means T21. T22 is the correct crystal for 1016. Even LHOOQ sometimes typed one rather than the other in old threads.
