When purchasing Lobtime plexi

for 1016 is $70.
If you want to install it in a Raffles or drvintage case, buy the cheaper one for 16030
It will fit no problem.

Just finished my first builds. I built a 1016 and also a 6350 style watch using Raffles parts but the 36mm cases feel small for me. Can anyone recommend a 39-40mm vintage style case with a domed crystal that would be appropriate for those? Thanks!

36mm was already a big watch for this period, you can look for Tudor 9080 or Rolex 1019, but no rep kit for those this day

Look for « Explorer case » on AliX
There are 39mm cases rather on the modern style. The dial will be compatible if you take a 28.5mm

You will have a fantasy build but why not.

As some of you Brothers are aware I have moved further in to clock servicing and making these days so I must give an enormous "MERCI MON FRERE) to our very own Karbon who has forwarded me this brilliant compendium of French clockmaking through the ages. It will prove invaluable to me as I hunt for clues with customers clocks as well as providng a fascinating read.

What a great brotherhood this place is.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check those out.
