I think we could only see this as custom builds, maybe ACE movement coming, but based on Patek free sprung prices it will be more in the 3k range movement alone than in the 1k…
Oh, I don't particularly care about free sprung, I just want 2 balance wheels, free sprung or not.

I think if someone develops the two balances, there will be free sprung, as legend mentioned, is not only to put a balance and call it a day, on the gen AP each balance runs on one direction in order to compensate each other, so technically is kinda complex to do.

COTDAMN the RG looks so good. These are in-hand w/ you already? I might have to scratch the damn open worked itch w/ the RG as we wait for the black ceramic...
But I just bought a semi-custom tomahawk ughhhhhh...... 😩 😩 😩

He hid the regulation arm, mimicking a free-sprung balance (which is regulated by adjusting the weights on the outside of the balance wheel).
Just a random thought.

Now the regulation arm is hidden, can we replace the balance wheel with one that shaped like with weights that look like a free sprung wheel but not operating as a free sprung ? In this way, we have better visual accuracy and not bothered with the precise regulation needed for free sprung operations.

I love it, my only hesitation is the balance wheel not matching gen

Where I need to be.

The price doesn’t match gen too. :ROFLMAO:

If you like the watch, don’t be too pedantic about the differences in details. Anyone knowing the gen 15407 (meaning anyone who spends 5min studying pics of the gen online and compares it with the rep) will be able to know the rep isn’t a gen even if the balance wheel is 1:1. It’s just something you purchase to wear for fun. If you want something accurate for a watch of this level then only the gen will do. You’re talking about a >$100k watch and this caliber of replication is already applause-worthy priced at this level.
Reps will always be flawed and especially reps of high end gens like this 15407.

You will never see it unless you look at the back of the watch
You can also see the second balance wheel from the front if you look at the gen watch at an oblique angle. This can be clearly seen in some videos of the original.
However, I agree that the double balance wheel is not at the top of my priority list either. They should concentrate on other models instead.

I hear you, maybe I’m odd man out, but I’m comfortable paying 1k+ for something closer or with stronger movements and durability

The weights on the balance are there for regulation on free sprung movements, if you do a regular movement with weights I don’t think the Watch can be accurate, but any Watchmaker can correct me if I’m wrong.
