Hey guys,
i posted a WTB. Maybe you know someone that picked up the blacksteel version but they're not wearing it & want to find a new home for it? ????

Good news! took the bezel off to get a closer look and it does appear to be made of ceramic. Looks like a two part piece with the metal teeth ring bonded to the ceramic bezel.
Where did you get yours?
PT told me by email the one they get is stainless bezel.
Does yours appear to look like ones in photos, maybe PT was wrong?

I purchased the Blacksteel version from Trusty. I can’t imagine GF would make different bezel versions of the same watch. I bet it’s just that PT got it wrong, and then InTime copied PT’s description like they often do.
I’m very confident it’s ceramic though, it was clearly two different materials stuck together. I even did the non scientific scratch test. The bezel teeth ring would show marks when scratched but I couldn’t make scratch marks on the underside of the insert.

if it was coated stainless, I'd imagine it'd be easier to scratch than ceramic

On a side note, how is the bezel alignment on the blacksteel version eg does the 30 on the bezel line up to the 6 o'clock marker? I asked my TD (well one of them) for good QC as it looked off in his photos and he said it was a problem with the blacksteel one and to pick another watch.
Others have said it is ok and I can't imagine TD not wanting me to buy another watch so maybe he was just being lazy?

Can you fit a swiss eta on this one? Would the dial and hands fit on the movement as well?

This summer, when I was at hollydays in Canarias, I saw in AD of Breitiling, the breitling 44 mm special black DLC coated and black ceramic bezel. The triangle with lume dot on 12 o'lock on the bezel in this model is the SAME in the rep than original Breitling ref.M17393.
When I arrived on vacation I started to investigate and I see that there are two diferent bezel types of this model. One that is more pointed and another that is IDENTICAL that of the rep. In chrono 24 if you look for the M17393 reference, there are watch offers and you can see that there are several sellers, with this model that is the same bezel-triangle as the GF. Well if accuracy is your main concern than the best pick would be the 44 ceramic in regular steel (not DLC), it’s certainly NWBIG.
Problem with the DLC one (44 Special) is that GF used the same ceramic bezel from the non DLC one which is incorrect as you pointed out.
Despite this flaw, for roughly 10% of the gen price, it’s still a great rep!

Agree, also on the ss I’ve seen two different date fonts one gen like the other more rounded numbers.
But both are great releases though!
