Long tail or short tail peeps?

I like a long tail personally, love a 150/90!, what are your preferences?
I'm with you. I like 145/85-90 these days myself ideally. I like a good tail. Also, what I don't like is bding stuck using the last hole. 145/85 puts me squarely in the 2nd quarter of holes.

Even on the gen rubber straps I like a little tail poking out.

These are nice. Dare I say a perfect fit.

The seriosio on the fiddy is 150/90. The rest are like 145/85

I only have a 7” wrist but love to see that extra length and almost squared off buckle look. Obviously that’s with a large gpf style flat buckle

This reminds me - I've been meaning to ask.

I saw a Q&A with Kostas and he was talking about Panerai history and he talked about how soldiers, during the wars, would take a rock or a hammer or something to bend the buckles so they have that curve and I've been tempted to try it just for the hell of it.

Anyone hear about this or have any experience?

superspark69 - David is great to deal with and a true Gent, though I'm learning quickly how to work with him in the most productive way.

Strap 2 progess pics received a little while ago:

Some more progress pics - they just need the buckles sewn in now.

The specs on these 3 are:
Black Horween Chromexcel 27/24 with ecru thicker stitching sewn into a deeper groove line, rolled and finished edges. This one is for my 288.
Burgundy Horween Dublin 26/26 with matching thicker box stitching, edge lines and rolled finished edges.
Tumbled matte dark grey shell cordovan 24/24 with medium grey thicker box stitching sewn into a deeper groove line, rolled and finished edges.

From gold to... well, gold.

Swapping the Corrigia for the Di Stefano today, as it just came in the door...

I do like a good Simona (di Stefano) strap. Whilst I have a couple of corrigia straps, for some reason despite how nice they look, they have never hit the sweet spot for me. Maybe I need to try more?.

Have to agree with you there - Simona's are superior IMO...

Typically the PAM rep straps are only fit for the bin, though I was very pleasantly surprised with the rep 968 strap - nice quality leather that was very comfy.

Simona won though... The bronze buckle isn't a cheap upgrade but suits the watch - as does the 26/26 size.
