Two more incoming. waiting for my buckles to be made (previous post) then I can get Cordes to make me a few more ammo's

Awesome they both look great as well as the buckles.

I have to ask - and you saying how cheap buckles don’t do it for you anymore. How are the gen Panerai buckles ? Are they any different than say a $25 to $40 distefano buckle?

I ask because I’ve contemplated buying a few because I don’t like the cheap aftermarket trash anymore either and have been trying to find the sweet spot between price/quality.

I almost bought (and still might) a buckle off
woz but I’m afraid it will just be a cheap buckle that looks funky. For $300. Because sometimes I don’t like the straight edge of the gpf mod buckle.

No I’m not saying I don’t like screw in buckles totally, just that i much prefer a nice sewn in buckle. Of course I think it will depend on the strap for example a gen Pam strap or rep equivalent looks best with a screw in buckle however the straps I predominantly wear in the 150/90 range, wouldn’t look right with a screw in buckle. Plus the sewn in buckles are usually part of the strap price or not even that expensive if buying separately.

I do like a good Simona (di Stefano) strap. Whilst I have a couple of corrigia straps, for some reason despite how nice they look, they have never hit the sweet spot for me. Maybe I need to try more?.

I just received my first Di Stefano strap. It's really very nice, but for some reason I like Corrigia straps better, just personal preference. But I will try more of Di Stefano as well.

You gotta love when you find a strap that matches a reference perfectly. I might have to buy a pair of Yeezyrl Yeezy 350s just because they go so well with this set up. 1118 on a distrfano lime ostrich. It also looks amazing on a black on black.

This group makes me think stuff like this is normal and people come into my office and they’re like “what’s with all these little strips of leather?” And I’m just like “doesn’t everyone have these?”


For me, two new corrigia straps came in that I’m loving right now. Both of them.
