OK, we understand your position. Now, let's all move on.
I use the bus to get to my job as a cleaner and I live in a councill flat. What rep do I need?
57, with a few gens and 16 reps, I make a conscious effort NOT to mislead anyone. I wear and own them for my own pleasure. IMO, the rolexes of the world have made their own beds by charging $5k-$10k and up for what are really nice $800 watches. [emoji50]
..... Rolex (like Harley Davidson) They both sell "lifestyle" They are a MARKETING company first. ..Its reputation and marketing. People will pay for exclusivity, in cars, restaurants, clothes, even hair dressers.
Rolex does not make a great timepiece. no better than a Timex in its initial purpose. They make and sell a lifestyle. So enticing 1000's of people will spend $400 on a Chinese watch to take part. So at the end of the day KNOWING this. Of ALL my watches the Rolex must be the real deal.
The guy is a attention seeker, that's all. At the moment were playing his game there's nothing of substance here.
I wasted so much time reading this thread.
This is for saying we get money from our TD's. :finger:
I volunteer like the rest of the staff. We've protected thousands of members from scammers. I haven't got a cent for it.
Get lost troll.
Yeah but you know what?
The members, the real members, DO appreciate it !
Rep points Bro !
On the point that you said our dealers are the ones making the money, that's not exactly true. they make an average of 40 to 50 bucks per watch and more if it's a more expensive watch. at least that's what my dealer makes. Take into consideration all the work that goes into making that 50 bucks. Time is the biggest factor. My TD works 12 to 16 hours a day. fielding emails and replying, finding answers to the questions people ask, contacting the factories to see if watches are available. then the time it takes to go out to the factories and markets and hand select the best example they can find for us. This is not as easy of a task that people think. A good dealer inspects and must go to various places searching and inspecting many watches before they accept one they think is good. Then the time to take qc photos and send them to us. then to package and ship the watches. All of that for 50 bucks? hardly a glamorous living in my opinion.
and to take into account the risk they are putting themselves in everyday. risking a lot of money, and getting caught. They deal with getting their paypal accounts frozen from new members that file disputes or just people that want to scam them. That's why no dealer will accept paypal from a new member. Our dealers have lost thousands of dollars on a single sale because of this. So there's a reason they won't accept paypal until you are a known member and buyer. I wouldn't risk my paypal either.
They have overhead. the larger dealers have many employees that they have to pay. They may sell larger volumes of watches but their overhead is also much higher. So their profit margin isn't really that great considering all of this.
Exceptions not the rule. ....Anyone who drops $30K for a watch has dropped a lot more for other things before the watch in their lives, I know wealthy CHEAP people. They will never think a watch is with even $3000, Watches are a part of lifestyle and usually the LAST thing wealthy people Spend a fortune on after their homes and cars.
yes, and that hublot at 200 bucks is going to be pretty much on the same level as the sub.
