Hello everyone. I wanted to provide a little update on the progress of the project. After receiving the Montoya watch some time ago, I finally had time to begin dissection. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it went: in some ways the construction is a little bit sturdier than the Grand Prix, especially regarding the pushers. Alas, I'm happy to announce that the case is now fully stripped and I will begin mold tooling in the upcoming week.

Hi all,

A quick update..... This is directly from the master of custom forged carbon cases himself;

'I just wanted to give you a little update on the Montoya carbon case project, as I just finished making the molds yesterday and had my first test-shot earlier today. I'm happy to say that the results are nothing short of excellent! Apologies for the mediocre pics, as the case is straight out of the mold with no clean-up. In fact, it looks as good if not slightly better than the Grand Prix cases. Will give you another update later in the week once I have at least a couple more cases done up and in a more advanced state of preparation. Feel free to share with the folks over at RWI if you deem it fit'

I will be contacting all members who have expressed interest and asking them to prepare their payment in readiness for the cases to be shipped. I'll include myn email in that PM since I have not been active of late.

I'm incredibly proud of this project and very, VERY grateful to gio for helping to bring it to life!

No, sorry. You will need to have/buy a donor Montoya to complete this project.

Source a watch and the rest is easy; patience and money will basically get you one of these SUPER exclusive pieces!
