How long did it take you guys to get your QC pics after payment from Sead?

Mine's from Ken (psychospyke). A couple of days for me as well and he went out of his way to make sure I got one with all new parts.

Quick update: Ken found a problem with the movement and has to replace the watch. I'll post new QC photos when I receive them. I'd much rather wait a day or two and get a working watch than receive one that's defective. Great service by Ken.

I never actually got qc pics from Sead. I've ordered two watches. One delivered and one's in transit (ordered later).

The one delivered was perfect though. (a 000 h-fac that I'll post a pic of later)

But, I've seen others post their Sead qc pics. Strange that everyone else is getting qc pics. I don't really care, though. I like dealing with Sead, regardless. And I'll continue to go to him first.

Thanks Nicktan182. Did you ever have one of the older h-fac dials? If so, can you tell a difference?

I have a watch from Bozz with an older h-fac dial that's already pretty good. So it's hard for me to tell if this one's better. If it is, I'd like to order one. The 000 is miles better, just can't tell about the 390 yet.

I've seen a gen 390 in person and I couldn't even see the engraved texture that's so evident on the gen 000/005 and the gen boutique-city watches.

I've owned a gen 000 in the past (as well as a 005 & 112... All long since sold or traded), and on that one the engraved texture was easily identifiable with the naked eye. Gen 390 I saw, though, was not.

The gen 390 that I saw looked like flat printing on the dial (not sausage-like, but not really engraved either...just flat printing). I know the engraved texture likely is there under close scrutiny or with a bright-close camera flash, but with the naked eye, on the gen 390, it's hard to discern-- lume application just looks flat and printed on the dial. I'd like to find a dial that replicates this.

here you go

nope i've never had an older h-fact 390 dial before. only noob and this h-fact one seems flatter, more gen like. my old noob 390's lume was pretty raised and sausage like. also i'm pretty sure the gen 390's lume isn't like the typical 000/005/boutique edition pams, where it's lume-filled cavities. on the 390 the lume markers look almost painted on, and so far i've not come across a 390 rep dial that looks like the gen one

Since we're discussing the 000 and 390. I have both and always have a problem choosing. Anyone else wear one on each wrist?

Gen sausage dials PAM 000 and 005 have the lume a bit recessed and filling a cavity, the lume surface is flat
Rep sausage dials before 2015 were all sausage-like really inaccurate
Rep sausage dial H maker form 2015 is really accurate with a lume application just gen-like, it seems very accurate
Gen PAM 390 has a flatter lume and due to that Noob and H maker dials are more accurate than old reps of 000 and 005

Will be very curious to see this new case for 005. New case for 111 would be nice, but I assume it still will never truly be top super rep due to the movement.

On a separate note, ALE, I've gone through your guide in the past and it's excellent. Thanks.

Thank you guys for posting such great pics for us to look at. I'm finding this thread more and more helpful. I was starting to contemplate something that seems like a few of us were wondering about, obviously.

Rep sausage dial H maker form 2015 is really accurate with a lume application just gen-like, it seems very accurate
Gen PAM 390 has a flatter lume and due to that Noob and H maker dials are more accurate than old reps of 000 and 005

ALE

Ale, thanks for mentioning this.

It seems that the breakthrough from Hfac is in the "cavity-filled" sausage lume markers like those found on 000, 005, etc. This here, gives an advantage and improvement from the same models by Noob, with the exception of the bezel thickness. It also seems that the new case from H-fac is at least on par or equivalent in quality to noob's case.

I noticed the 390 has a different style of flatter, sausage marker which was well defined in Ale's post and the other posts preceding.

So the big question here is: was there any breakthrough or improvement in H-maker's 390 that gives it an advantage over Noob's 390.

Thank you all in advance for considering this :)

My TD found a movement problem with the last 000 selected for me, so he got me a new one. Here are the new QC pics. Does the crown look crooked? Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Your watch looks good mate, no flaws imho. The crown shape is new, very nice.

Man these little details you're picking out is so minuscule in person that 99.99999% of the people out there won't even point it out.

On a side note, it seems like your crown is slim as opposed to h facs typical semi slim crown. That's a good thing

Thanks for the reply. I approved the first one almost immediately as it looked perfect. I don't know enough to say if a crooked crown is an issue beyond simple cosmetics, which is why I asked.

How close to gen is the AR on a the crystal? I noticed it is colorless, but still see an effect on the dial at a certain angle.

Crooked crown could be an issue of a flimsy/wobbly crown. Does your crown wobble especially when the lever is pulled out?
