@Vipermav I recognize the watch you have may be causing you skin irritation, but that is no match for the vintage build I'm working on now...

I'm not sure if @bigdeal knew this fun fact about his watch, but he has quite a neat vintage (~15 year old) rep Noob Seadweller, complete with a:

LEAD CASEBACK

You think you have problems... the lead is literally right up against your skin when wearing.

Now, it is an alloy featuring lead which is not as bad... and you can't really get lead poisoning if you aren't consuming the lead, but still.

Also I tested it with my hardness tester, it is for sure not tungsten. It's lead.

I doubt it's an allergic reaction unless it affected you beyond the watch area. I had a time when mysteriously after breakfast my body would start getting rashes all over my body (everything is everything..).

I agree with @Feefo

Just my two cents but I'd have to disagree with that assessment. While practicing emergency medicine for over 30 years I have seen literally thousands of cases of contact dermatitis. Sometime you can see a perfect outline of the offending agent. Sometimes it's a bit more diffuse. Other times when it's more severe the reaction will become systemic, like yours. But usually it's just local.

Oh wow! At least he can use that lead to block any Kryptonite poisoning:oops:

After trying everything else, I'm pretty sure my VSF Sub needs an exorcism! 🤪

Honestly? Sounds weird but wear it on your other hand and see if you get the same rash.

OP @Vipermav ,
since these rashes occured, have you worn other watches for comparison?
( Just to be able to exclude the possibilitiy that you might just have developed something new.)

I actually tried that several times on different days got the same skin reactions. I appreciate it. This VSF Sub is just not meant for me. It's my first Rep ever & I can not even wear it:poop: What a waste of $551.00 but life goes on, & I'm still having fun->>Lots of very nice people here & Reptime. I ordered a CF 126500 Dayton Panda so I hope that one works out.🤞

Yes & no skin reactions from any of my Gen watches. The funny part is I'm not really allergic to anything. The US Military subjected me to a bunch of things( shots, chem warfare, etc. & I came out just fine.....🤪 )

sorry to derail, but @Vipermav does the 124060 still have the ghost date position?
In my humble opinion, this VSF Sub 124060 is a really impressive Rep. I also own a Gen 124060 that I bought in October 2024 & they are virtually indistinguishable when worn on the wrist. My VSF Rep is also pretty darn accurate & I would say it gets close to 72-hour power reserve. That's surprisingly good for a Rep. It's unfortunate that it gives me an inexplicable Skin Reaction.
