Thanks for an interesting post!
Does that mean that, unless I do something silly like swim with the crown loose, the watch can happily withstand a quick dip in the bathtub without any further mods? That would make this rep even more worth the money.

How is the date change on the gen ETA?
Shouldn't be instant change like get but at what time it started to move the date wheel?

OK, but how is quick? If is a 2824 should be similar to the TC movement, different thing if you installed a 2836.It has the quick date change at midnight. One of the reasons I went with a ETA movement.

Or I am wrong?

Thanks for the info!Correct. If you want the quick date change you cannot use the 2824.
I went with a 2834, almost the same as a 2836, but it has the possibility to have a day at the 12 hour mark, like with the Rolex Day-Date. And it has the quick date change.
Thanks for the info!
Any difference between hand height or crown position? I was looking for info on the forum but I've not yet found the correct thread, but I remember the 2824 is more similar to a gen for crown position, hand heights, pinion etc.

Funded 12/15/16, arrived without USPS notification 1/19/17! TC V7 Extreme LN:
He paid extra. I asked him earlier todaycongratulations
one question though:
did you ask for an elabore movement or it just came with it?
Received my TC V7 Extreme tonight as well. Looks and feels amazing, but had a question about the bezel. It turns and sounds perfect, but it feels as if I can pop the bezel off easily with minimal finger pressure. Is this typical?
