V7 with gen insert:

3hHu5KN.jpg

I've got to say the V7 insert is indistinguishable apart from the thing that was bugging me a little which was the pearl. Although it's very very good it just doesn't seem to quite sit right on the insert somehow and the gen although near identical is a nice overall improvement.

I have a gen non-AR crystal waiting to go in (see the slight blue AR in the cyclops?) and a gen crown and it's also getting some lug hole action :D this month hopefully so I'm looking forward to those and my click spring so I can find out why I paid an extra $100 for the Extreme lol!

I think $100 for the Extreme is worth it for the perfectionists in us because the damn bezel was so hard to turn on the v6 for the first few months. I guess if you don't use it that much it's fine. I just like knowing that the quality of the finishing on the bezel is better. $739 isn't bad when I think about my 4 other superfrankens costing over 4K each just to get everything perfect. I mean hell it makes TC pieces a complete bargain! And ready to wear!

I got lucky and didn't have to wait for my v7x but for those of you on the fence, you wait 90-100 days and don't have to do any work of hunting for parts, sourcing an modder, shipping them parts, buy new parts because the ones you got didn't fit etc. you will waste a lot of money - trust me!!

You will be prior correct also with the no-AR... Mine is ready!!
I cannot upload photo though through Tapatalk from my phone

Yup! :D I was considering non-AR and LEC which would be period correct but I wanted lug holes so I am going non-AR and non-LEC.

Nah I didn't really have a wait for mine either! Looking at the finish on the bezel teeth I'd say it was $100 well spent. We shall see. Would be a shame to have such a beautifully finished watch with a below par bezel feel a shame I do use them quite regularly but only for cooking etc lol

Yes now I'd say the TC out of the box with no mods is an incredible rep. Only the very picky will see the benefit in using any gen parts at all although he seems to use a few different types of crystal some better than others.

For me it crossed the 90 days wait, don't know why but this how it went... Indeed TC is the best by far out of the box rep, of course Rolex has put the bar higher with the 6digit ceramic pieces but still there are so many people loving the 5digits.. I could not see myself into it when started but appreciated them more and more as the time and involvement in here occured. I am now very much anticipating to get it!!!

By the way mine had just got the gen xtal and insert, the watch smith said that was no need to change anything and he was amazed by the case, he said that he does service like 10 original a day and the case is absolutely amazing.. Also the watch is waterproofed good for swimming and some scuba by its design.. I will have the watch maybe in 7-10 days and can do some pictorial if anyone interested

Thanks for an interesting post!
Does that mean that, unless I do something silly like swim with the crown loose, the watch can happily withstand a quick dip in the bathtub without any further mods? That would make this rep even more worth the money.

In order to be sure you will have the watch smith tested, it is only 10usd!! I am sure it will pass with flying colors but first have it checked! It will be OK for swimming but yet again better safe than sorry.. Same goes with Noob models, my Planet Ocean was tested and could go BEYOND 60meters depth without any lubricating etc.. But my smith gave the caseback some extra spin so it got even more sealed.. Good luck!!

Anyone thinking about selling their TC V6 / v7 please hit me up [emoji4]

Want to Buy: GEN Rolex Movements and/or Franken Sub / GMT / v72 or DW Daytonas!
I have a Franken Sub GMT, purchased from Forum Membe garyb, in fantastic shape, rarely worn. I would be interested in passing it along. I have a gen sub, plus a gen datejust, so I rarely wore it. My new passion is Pams, so if interested pm me. [emoji4]

How is the V7? Is the braclet hollow if so is it very light that if handed to someone will be an obvious rep?

These are all just so beautiful, I have no idea why anyone would buy a genuine.

Bold statement but one I'm 100% on board with, especially when you look at all the ropey gens you see on eBay for 5x the price

My replacement click spring arrived today many thanks to TC for getting it to me so quickly and I can finally see why he calls it Extreme, the bezel action is incredible!

Hey Everyone I just got my TC V7 extreme I'm worried there may be something wrong with the bezel it's so stiff to turn that it slightly hurts my fingers to turn it. I'm also unable to turn the bezel while holding it with one hand. Did you guys have to break yours in? Also there is a slight give if I just push the bezel in on the watch to the side I am pressing. Is this normal?

And by turning by one hand I mean like this:
