No that was BK who replaced the xtal on everything. TC was very proud of his inserts too always trying to improve them.

Sounds like BK alright. I had one. He took the TC added a gen ETA, Gen crown, Gen xtal, H4 pinion and a gen insert.

IIRC a gen 703/704 fits a stock TC tube.

As far as I know yes. Also some late V5s I think and V3 hands. It was so long ago at this stage.

14060 dials are slightly smaller in diameter than the 16610’s. As a matter of fact, so is the 14060 case by comparison. My understanding is that it can be “made” to work and has been done by a few members here, but there will be some compromise if you’re intent on building one.
