Hi All,

In case anyone isn't aware (not like I haven't said enough times) I actually owned Gen No 2800, loved it to bits and it was my daily watch. Had to sell it during COVID to pay my staffs wages, it was either the watch went to someone else or a couple of families loose their houses.

Anyway today I went to Liverpool and collected a Rep from the Seller - I think its a V2 VSF with both Nato and the SS Bracelet.
I can say that the watch is almost perfect, weighs about the same and looks great. The bezel sizing is a little off and the numbers are harder to read when looking straight on at the watch then the Gen but otherwise it's lovely.

I had a few Gen Nato 5 Stripe Straps left over from when I owned the Gen, but even the copy strap that I have been given is pretty much the same quality, it's just missing the 007 logo and the satin isn't as fine.

All in all I love this watch, and I've just ordered another one from him so that I can keep one on the Bracelet for Best and the one on the Nato for everyday wear.

The guy tht I bought these off has another 4 of them and I'm really tempted to buy the lot.

Not completely sure I know what you mean.
If you mean the stuttering issue?
The vsf v2 doesn't use the same miyota unit but an Asian clone of the original. So shouldn't be a problem.

is it possible to get a replacement of the asia clone movement in case need to swap to fix?

In theory yes. I have no idea what would fit without much work though.

Thanks to those members who advised me of Trusty having them in stock.
On my Gen NATO. ( I’ll be getting curved spring bars as per the Gen).
The spring bars on the bracelet were a PIA to get off, but after fitting NATO, wearing for 5 min felt like I had my Gen back …Really pleased with this rep.
As everyone says the liquimetal numerals not as pronounced as the Gen but overall , VERY impressed with this VSF.

Yes also replaced the spring bars, tidied up the strap a little as it had a little bit more material on the first keeper that you thread through to secure the watch with. Taking out the links and resizing the bracelet was a pain, also same here when removing the strap Major PAIN in the bum, so much so that I ordered a second Spectre, one for everyday and one on the Bracelet for special nights out. And apart from the bezel which is an 8 out of 10 for viewing, it's pretty much like my Gen. Hope you guys who ordered yours get them very soon. Stay safe.

Glad you were reunited! Super jealous of the 007 logo on the gen looks great. Agreed the SS bracelet was a PITA to get off really had to angle the tool to like 35 degrees as opposed to 90 on some other Omega reps I have.

Received mine. Looks really good. Only think I dislike is the 007 branding on the clasp… anyone knows if a 300m Omega bracelet or a Speedmaster bracelet is compatible?

I'll buy the SS bracelet off you if you get a replacement.. this is a 21 mm, 300m is a 20mm not sure about Speedy.

As someone who is currently wearing a Gen strap (as I kept my spares from my Gen just in case) they are so close it’s crazy. Slightly bluer greys, stitching is on par, texture is the same, hole spacing is the same, satin on the hardware is 95% it’s just not as smooth and even.

On the wrist you would never be able to tell !
