Ooooh so happy I stumbled on this threat/section... I was beginning to think nobody was into RMs
I had one of the original RM005 and RM011 reps, loved the 005 but the 011 was a POS, they were my first ever rep purchases though so they hold a special place in my heart. But since those I just sort of gave up on RM reps, kept seeing new releases every now and then and they never seemed to improve.
This thread gives me some hope! that Bubba from the Insta video looks awesome (https://instagram.com/p/6GSPXwFJTb/). At least now the demand is there, so hopefully the factories will hear us and finally dedicate some time, effort and resources into producing some quality reps.

They are long gone unfortunately. I think they might be lying around in storage in one of my houses overseas. Will see if I can dig them up when I am there.
The 005 was the same as the one posted in the picture above.
The rm011 was terrible, I remember it had glossy black screws and I scratched the paint off to try and match the gen lol. My best mate has quite a few gen RMs and after we compared them and I saw how far off they were my two reps didnt get much wrist time
I wonder is it possible to get a very small quartz movement and 3D print the gears and wheels and lay it on top to make it semi gen like?
Very do-able. Miyota is small and reliable.
Now who's going to buy 3d printer for the community? Any volunteers?? :-D

The thing is if someone manage to do the correct design of the decoration for the files in vector signs which ask lot of work you can send the file to any society who does 3d printing to ask them to craft the piece !
But in my opinion it's too early to do such things the 3d printing technology is already starting to improve in less than 4 years it will be possible to get something really good

Just re watched the video and realized there was a rotor in there....
Why the hell didn't they make it manual winding as it should be!
Probably would have abled them to slim down the case a little.
I will pass on this one.

Yeah, date wheels gonna be a mod after the fact. However, dial is closest I've seen. Movement all be it an Asian, should function as per gen. Movement holder is an eyesore still, but it could be a mod fix too. White case coating!!! Haven't seen it in a rep until now.
If the font's the only real hang up, this may be the closest to gen so far.
Here's a quick side-by-side. I'm guessing the RM011 white ghost is the closest match. Of course the flaws stand out much more.
