Read this - it explains some of the movement and how the seconds get transferred in the newer movements. Most ZF are using this now (Portugese and Spitfire) I believe for all their IWC range and even though I cant find a JF movement review I read somewhere they source their movements from the same sources.

I've got plenty of sec@6 7750 based movements on me now. No issues with any of them now. I run chrono 3-4 times a week as well.

One other important factor that most don't realize is that Daytonas both gen and rep are not 40mm, they're only 38.5. So the thicker case makes it seem more chunky cuz it's not proportional. It's not like a SeaDweller thicker than a Sub. On a smaller Daytona it's more obvious.

About the lume color, it was always green on gen till 2010, then switched to blue (along with bigger GMT clasp).

Actually, from the Rolex website, it states that the Daytona is 40mm.

I know the rolx site says 40, but its a known fact that Daytonas measure 38.5 mm. That's why they always wear smaller. See photo from gen owner. And new LN Ceramic is exactly same measurement.

As one Rolex Forums reader stated:

"This is like measuring your private parts. Some times you don't want to know specifics, and just go with a rough estimate, rounding up of course"
