Good for you, you surely have had a good sample;

though many here took the 300$ gamble a few times, and ended up loosing their money.
yeah i ve heard and read a lot..i think its truly a gamble..like you can get lucky and receive a watch that is here to stay..also i forgot to tell that for one year it was kind of a daily beater..now its once a week..

I had the 7750, and the case thickness bothered me a little - until they have a fully working chrono in the slimmer models (whilst matching the quality of the 7750) I won't have a daytona.

Thanks a lot mate.

The dial coronet looks different to me, different from dealer pics, except Marvellous Reps.

It looks very gen-like !

I own two JF 7750 Daytonas - the white dial SS and the ice blue 50th anniversary.
Both keep excellent time and run like a top for over a year now.
Thickness is a non-issue for me.
Love them both - great watches.

Anyone have both 23J and 7750 and can compare visual differences?

My friend they're beautiful.
But you sure the the ice blue one is JF?
The pushers and bezel are way off on blue one, looks like BP factory, sorry.

Who cares about thickness, anyway. It's not like someone will come up with a caliper while you're wearing it to measure how thick it is. smh.

You are correct - it's been awhile since I purchased it from Marvellous and I forgot which version I bought.
The white dial is definitely JF though.
I went back and looked at both ice blue versions on Marv's website and actually the BP tachy bezel white ring looks closer to Gen than the JF.
Not sure about the pushers and other details.

The JF a7750 is the one I'd go for, how often are you likely to use the chrono anyway? I prefer the seconds at 6 as it is more gen like, if your worried about being called out the second hand in the wrong place is much more of a give away than thickness. If you want a correct looking daytona, that works a treat and never let's you down go vintage Venus 75

Feel on wrist should be important instead of looks

Hey mate, great watches.
Just a question, how come your Gen panda 116523 has bezel of 116518...with a White Gold Bezel like Markers?

@RX7GP here is my 7750 replica

and here is my gen panda...on the wrist the difference is minimal

Guys don't kid yourself !

I see 2-3 gen Daytonas a month at my Job
I deal very high end retail , and the Gens always look super thin on peoples wrist , I see them at about 24" at my desk as my clients are signing contracts, the rep 7750 really looks twice as thick as the gen
proof

if you like the functioning chrono GO FOR IT BE HAPPY!
But dont think it will pass as a GEN !

I want to use the new JF 23J case for my Daytona franken but it seems like the SEL and the crown guards on the 29J (7750) are much nicer/accurate than the 23J
