Hey gang,
I am now for the first time facing a problem which I suppose is not new: the ceramic insert is just a mic too small to be securely attached via press fit alone…
I am working on a VSF 114060 and have purchased a red ceramic bezel insert from Alibaba. When pressing it in by hand, it snaps home (too) easily and can be pulled out with a tiny hook again.
What is the best method to secure it? Since the 114060 bezel assembly includes the bezel support ring, I can’t simply use double sided tape on the underside of the insert.
Option 1: would you use two pieces of double sided tape (the 3M rings) to tape down both bezel support ring and insert?
Option 2: or should I rather use 3-4 dots of 2-K epoxy glue to glue down first the support ring and then the insert?
I am afraid that option 1 would result in the insert sitting too high and protruding over the bezel…
Thanks so much for your guidance!
Fab
