This this this, I want the whole F1 driver set (Leclerc, Alonso, Italia, and the McLaren) but no way am I dropping $10k on them all when they're gussied-up Miyotas and don't have the case right yet. At $600-800 it'd be a stretch still cause of the movement. I've wanted the set for yeeeeeeeeeeeears but they're still just not ready for mass market imho.

Why is that surprising? Maybe people get gens and reps of the same model?
Or try out the gen and get a rep
Any reason you would not recommend it ? I saw hillbilly is doing the case upgrade and few on instagram also doing the movement upgrade but asking $5k +

When they bring a watch to market that's worse quality than expected (movement is so disappointing....ugh; I wouldn't mind the case problems if the movement were better) and SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than expected, then the buzz goes away haha. At $2,000+, it's gotta be close to perfect.
If they did a better job with the movement/case, then these would've been a bigger hit, even at $2500. Hopefully, they take the feedback, make adjustments, and release something new in 2025. I don't care where they come in on price as long as they improve the movement. Until then, I'm waiting it out

We need a proper clone, this is really similar to how 55/35 started, rearranged movements until they cloned the real thing.
Absolutely stunned by the quality of this watch! The movement and decos look super spot on and the finishing is actually really good on it.
The rotor is not audible and you can’t hear the movement run, even when the watch is pressed against the ear.
There’s no stuttering of the hands when setting the time.
It winds smoothly
The strap is very soft and I don’t feel like I’ll break it off the case when putting on and removing the watch from my wrist.
The NTPT looks great as well. From what I’ve been told and seen, the gen isn’t super shiny and the rep’s shines exactly when it needs to.
The red color of the rib on the dial and the crown match well in person
It’s crazy how light it is and is just a beautiful watch overall. I think it’s very expensive but if you love this sort of watch then it’s worth it.
I can best compare it to a Porsche GT3RS. If you want a nice sports car, probably don’t get one of those to start off as it’s very expensive and hardcore, but for the certain audience it’s aimed at, it’s worth every penny.
