I think this is general consensus and everyone should read to know what they are buying.
Maybe price can be in the 700$ range due to case material etc, but in terms of movement I after with you.

Yeah, that looks even flatter than the other ones. I do wonder why, because finding curved crystals at that size isn't hard, and in my experience it's harder to source a flat one than a curved anyways. Weird choices all around.
If they're not going to make a decent case I wonder if I can ram the movement into mine; it'd be much easier to serially produce a set of cases and bezels, just need someone to do better AR for the front crystal as the ones I can source have pretty bad AR at best.

I’m guessing because they made it seem thinner by not curving the top while needing to keep the bottom flat to fit the movement.
