RGRC Franken Build including self Gold Plating

Loving this build... So much to learn from it.

I should probably search but it looks as though Domi fills the original crown tube with a 'slug' or insert using a high strength epoxy that can be re-drilled?

Also curious if you have to strip the original plating to re-plate using your new system.

Domi fills the crown tube with real metal he has a special technique.

The Case doesn’t need to re Plate. First the whole case and all Roségold Parts like Deployment Clasp, Crown, Plots get a special yellow Plating layer, mixed with cobalt it’s a very hard layer.

This is also the base for the Roségold. When everything is yellow gold then Plating in 18 Carat rosegold.

That finish is fantastic mate well played! Watch is going to turn out great fair play to you! How hard is it to use the equipment for the plating? Is the main obstacle the thousand bucks to buy it?

I have a solvated a 8 hour training from the company and some try’s at home.
It’s ok, but expensive

Wow what an amazing mod! Congrats on the craftsmanship and dedication! Would it be easier/cheaper to just purchased an 18k wrapped rep watch from a Chinese factory than going your route?

It doesn’t matter if I plating a ss case or a Roségold case.

First step is to plate a hard layer in yellow Gold second step Plating Roségold.

Im tomorrow with Domi and we will finished the RGRC.

I changed the Color a little bit and now I think it’s perfect.
