If I had the same electroplating setup as you, it would take an incredible amount of restraint not to rosegold plate everything in sight, all in the name of “research.”

it would be a shame to see you go all gen, you’re taking this Franken game to a new level.

I also love the Q8, I’m not sure if it was good to order all in Black :/
Driving is much sporty then in my Q7 and looks much better.

On Friday I will Pick up at Audi Factory I’m a little bit excited

Next week Domi worked my Case thinner, I will observe it

Then Gold Plating the Case and Parts and hopefully finished the Watch in two weeks.

I will also report the Case work with pictures.

This project is very interesting, I have purchased a similar brushes playing machine 2 years ago and was contemplating to try it out.

Certainly will be following this project closely and who knows maybe I will also get my hands dirty and try it out as well ????

So, I was today with Domi.

He finished Case thinning and all work with the Case today.

Full Set of new Gen Hands also arrived.

I will try to Gold Plating the Case and all other Parts tomorrow.

Loving this build... So much to learn from it.

I should probably search but it looks as though Domi fills the original crown tube with a 'slug' or insert using a high strength epoxy that can be re-drilled?

Also curious if you have to strip the original plating to re-plate using your new system.
