I can confirm the steelfish bracelet fits. The only issue is that it is a pro ii and the gen comes with a pro iii. You can order the gen pro iii bracelet for $650 but that's more than I want to spend. I think it looks good on the pro ii.
If anyone is looking for the pro ii bracelet from the Superocean Abyss 44 you can buy the quartz chrono watch with the bracelet for $118. It looks like the new Superocean steelfish chrono has the pro iii bracelet that should fit (Breitling website indicates it takes the same bracelet as the Superocean ii 44) but it is going for just over $300. If you like the new chrono and want to put the rubber from your Superocean ii 44 on it this might make sense. I haven't found a TD who will sell the bracelet by itself. Let me know if someone has a different experience sourcing just the bracelet.

I've broken down and ordered the new Superocean Steelfish Chrono and plan to swap the bracelet it comes on with the rubber strap of the Superocean II 44. Here is to hoping it fits!!

I know they are not a TD here but surely if they have it another TD could get it. I have not confirmed it is still available. TT has been known to keep things on their website even when they can't be sourced.
I thought you said in an earlier post that you ordered one of these, were all waiting to see if it fits, hope it does. As soon as you know I think they'll be selling a bunch of those watches if it's s quality bracelet and it fits, fingers crossed, let us know when you get it
