Again, guys, let's not blow this out of proportion. We've sent the dealer in question a PM, and we're waiting for him to respond. Let's not get out the tar and feathers just yet. This could be a non-issue, depending on the dealer's response.

For what it's worth...

...I've watched this dealer/modder for the past 6 weeks because I liked what I've seen of the coming product(s). I read the supplier's website about the products, I've read and followed the updates provided by this dealer/modder over the last months, including the causes for delay, photos, etc.

Fully aware of the available info, earlier this week (just 3 or 4 days ago) I asked the dealer in question if I could PP him a deposit and get on his list for one of these products. He told me no to a deposit. He put me on a list for follow-up immediately after he fulfilled his pre-orders. He didn't want money until he knew when he could deliver. He gave me an estimate of the timeline. He was straight-forward, pleasant and business-like.

I took this as an honorable act. He could have picked up a deposit if he was after money. His foremost concern was his unfilled orders. My respect for him, and by extension his product, grew as a result.

Hope this experience can help calm the waters.

Glad my honest experience was of value to your open mind. However, it was offered to the OP and those seeking fair-minded input.

Shall I assume - by the nature of your tone, language, spelling and lack of respect - that you are a dealer/competitor?

I won't. Rational thought tells me when you were at 9 posts, you weren't a shill either. No one here hasn't had 9 posts at one point (except those with fewer). And now, with thanks to you, I don't have 9 posts any longer.

I like 9 post guy.

It's good to know that he's not taking any more money and it really doesn't surprise me at all.

Nothing personal, but this is the internet......you could be anyone, includng the dealer himself.....thanks for your comment, but understand that your words will have much more impact AFTER you establish yourself.....all noobs are looked upon this way, not just you....credibility comes with time.

I fully understand what you are saying (and agree as my glass is half empty too) but is'nt it a real shame that he will have to wait until he has posted 100+ threads or been a member for so many years before we trust somebody - i liked his relpy as I felt it did offer a small glimpse of 'it may turn out good' for carnut.

Oh well thats the interweb for you.

Let's all just relax and give the staff the opportunity to get this figured out. I did find 9 posts guy's reply to be a good thing... and wouldn't it be easy to see where IP was generated?

Rest assured, I will be fine one way or the other. I filed the dispute in time and used my amx card for the funding. The bigger issue is all the other people who have ordered.
Still be perfectly happy just getting the watches (but I doubt that's going to happen!)

Wow. That's why I supported the original lock. There could be a number of reasons for not responding in 24 hours (car crash, hear attack, nuclear explosion - well......maybe not the last reason......but you get the point).

Maybe the OP's problem can be an easy fix - if there are others trying to get in on the deal and can't (and they are willing to "ride the ride") then why doesn't someone just step up and trade the OP his deposit for their's. Everyone wins?!?!?!?! [maybe]

My first post here!!!!
Carnut I did buy from the dealer in question few watches (I am a member in another forum) and he always delivered what was promised.
As you, I did pay a deposit for a particular watch back in January 2009. I payed the balance in December 2009 knowing that I still have to wait a few months before I will receive my watch.
He never asks me to pay the balance. Was my request because at the time the exchange rate (US Dollar-Australian Dollar) was very good.
I believe the reason why we are still waiting for our watches is because he has some quality issue to be fixed and also the amount of pre-order.
What I know is that at the end of the waiting I will receive the best possible replica in the market.
Carnut, relax.
This dealer is a trusted dealer in other forum and so far I never read any complain about him.
I am sure that this issue will be resolved very soon.
P.S English is not my language, but I tried my best to explain.

9 Post Guy for President

No one here hasn't had 9 posts at one point (except those with fewer). And now, with thanks to you, I don't have 9 posts any longer.

Well, see, when I was born, see, I had 12 posts already. Then, after I grew up (walking to school 19 miles both ways, uphill in the snow) I got to 200 posts. I was never "9 post guy" but I like 9 post guy waaaaay better than some 500 post guys.

Lol. I'd change my name to "9-Post Guy", but I'd hate to lose my post count.

You don't lost your post count when you change your name. So it's now official. :)

BTW, I hope you notice this change before you log out, otherwise you're not going to understand why you can't log back in.

Why anyone would pay somebody a deposit, on a fake watch, then nearly 1 year later pay the balance and expect it to show up anytime soon is beyond me.

Glad I don't like most Rolex models...

Why anyone would buy stock in a company and expect it to ever appreciate in value is beyond me....

BK/wm9's model is not a typical dealer model..... you are putting a deposit down on a project.... when that project is completed, you will pay the remainder of the balance which will be below the retail amount once the project is done (typically like 20-30%)...

No one has to put a deposit down... you can wait for it to be finished and then pay full retail... your choice...

As for carnut... if you've made your complete payment and have not received your watches within the given timeline then that needs to be rectified... we are working on that...

Who said anything about BK/WM9? Guess that is the dealer you outed huh?

Hey, I got my own issues with another dealer/modder around the forums. I am giving it another 4 weeks...then I am going to go postal.
