No problem, just to confirm, I popped the crystal out a while ago and put a rep crystal from a 5th gen into the LM, no problem went in fine. The crystal that came out of the LM is the same diameter but a tad less thick than the 5th gen, so the 5th gen crystal is a little higher above the bezel (just half a mm or so) but it sits in fine on the gasket on the rep. I assume sunnys will work just fine now also.

I would order one if I was you, you can get a cheap one from ebay. Works fine for me, only about $15 or $20. Just my 2cents

Drbollocko tested today and it does fit. He will post pics, he said LM dial looks stunning with a good crystal

It really brings out the lovely dial. I'm not a good photographer and I can't show a true picture, It is amazing in the flesh. The dial glossy black is reflective and changes light depending on how it is tilted.
Edit forgive the dust etc, the dial isn't installed, just balancing to check the crystal.
The blue lighting you can see is actually the dial, it looks like glass dial inside the crystal. Really good.

Do you mean the insert isn't installed?
That looks awesome. Any chance of sanding down the gasket a bit to get the proper height?
