I'm getting replies, but he's saying nothing available yet

I was asking to buy from his EU stock list, which he only updated recently. So I don't think the watch I want is not available.

I spoke with a couple of connected people the other day who are not full of shit usually. They are telling me nothing is over. Noob and VSF not going anywhere but yes names may change, quality short term may change once stock on hand cleared. I would still take everything as speculation, time will only show us the true picture.

But I see alot of people here don’t seem to give these guys enough credit. If they are smart enough to produce these sort of pieces I am sure they have plan Bs and plan Cs.

From a common sense perspective government officials just want to be seen as having an impact, they are not trying to wipe them out. If they wanted to they could. It’s China, good luck hiding with their surveillance network. Instead of wiping these guys out they have had just enough breathing space to keep improving.

Seriously guys as if China doesn’t love screwing with global non Chinese brands?

Agree. And we haven't heard from anyone specifically about the Chinese authorities destroying the manufacturing infrastructure, have we? My bet is that while those presses, precision lathes, any tool & die equipment have been possibly seized, they haven't been destroyed completely. They are probably sitting in some obscure warehouse somewhere while the local Party official sends the BS paperwork up to the local Central Committee member who can then 'verify' that the operations have been terminated. After a while, and after the appropriate palms get greased with enough yen those machines will end up right back at a factory to begin making reps again. The Chinese system is rife with corruption top to bottom and don't think for a minute that those local officials who were getting kickbacks from the factories to look the other way want that gravy train to end. It may take a while, maybe months, maybe a year, but those machines will be back and running soon enough.

There was somebody linking to a newspaper that covered a case where some officials were prosecuted for looking the other way, was forged gold clubs they were dealing though. Not sure if it was in this thread that link was referred?
I just hope that we can commence business as usual soon...

Chinese Yuan, I suppose. I think Yuan is the smallest fraction of Renminbi, something like dollars and cents. Chinese currency's acronym is CNY

Yuan and Renminbi is basicly the same. The term "Yuan" is more common but not official and describes one unit. Renminbi is the offical term for the currency but very seldom used outside forex exchange or the financial press.

I got watches from TD with 12secs.

man, its analog disply, you wont even see 30seconds mate. And you got a fucking smartphone in your pocket for 1:1 DCF Signal clock. But a rep looks good:)

Lol I just recently started looking at my watch for the time and date and I got screwed on the date when we changed from April to May. I was almost late to a pickup. Plus I travel the country for work. It's easier to just use my phone and have the watches for show.

Hi guys,
I ordered one of the stock VSF subs from Ryan.
Got my QC pics today.
I hope the quality of VSF didn't decrease. But as far as the pictures can tell, I would say it looks decent. What do you think?
Nevertheless, I will keep you updated when the watch arrives.

Who is the seller? I am unfamiliar with the dealer.

It's good to hear that VSF is now shipping some models. I'm just holding until VSF start making the no date subs again. Still kicking myself for not jumping on it when it was available.

Ryan told me last friday all factories are still closed, then I asked Li about a VSF Seamaster and a Sub and he said both are available for order.

From my ignorance but also my common sense, if I had such a factory in such a country I wouldn't keep the production there. So what it's for sale now can just be the pre-raid production and factories might not yet be ready to run again.
I mean, in the short run stock doesn't mean production and lack of production doesn't mean lack of stock.

Sure, no question about it!
Maybe i wasn't clear enough before, Ryan told me factories are closed and he couldn't arrange the watch (the vsf seamaster) while Li told me he could.
So all i'm saying is, its worth asking different TDs at the moment (if they can in fact deliver, we will see)
