I don't want to start a new thread for this question. I was going to pull the trigger for VSF sub and then saw the start of this thread and been following since. with the uncertainty I figure now I look alternate factory, can someone please refer me to alternate factories that sit high in regards to quality and movement? just the factory names will do. so many and not sure who does good subs now day. thanks
do what I do but many rep watches and gen watches about 30 should do then you have 1 watch for each day. This was even if its 10-15 sec off a day even 30sec it doesnt matter because you wear 1 watch a day. See problem solved. But in all fairness those seconds really dont matter unless you work in a precise time needing job then I would reccomend a satellite adjusted watch. And what help is getting the watch serviced when you get it. I just have the person i buy the watch from do it before they send it out a $120 fee usually and that includes waterproofing. Worth an investment on a $400 watch. Again I dont have a watchsmith close to me.

I’ve owned several subs and own a vsf, no date,. Must’ve shipped it and got raided within hours. It’s by far the best one I’ve ever seen, I also own the gen 124060. Blown away how good this rep is.

That's interesting,so your TD can have your rep watch serviced before you get it,Ill have to ask sead as I'm about to order the pam127 from xf and I'm in South Australia and don't know anyone who will work on a rep watch

I would expect a better figure. The rate can easily be adjusted, what matters most imo, is the beat error (0.1 ms is excellent) and amplitude (ideally around 300 deg).
I got watches from TD with 12secs.

I have the disgrace of liking mechanical watches and being somehow obsessed with time accuracy. These things are incompatible.
Yes, you normally won't mind your watch being 1 minute ahead or behind, but 12 s/day makes a minute every 5 days, so you have to adjust it every week or so.
Movements like 2824 or 2836 are excellent, they can do 4 sec/day, this means 1 min away after 2 weeks. Even asian clones can have that accuracy.
Perhaps you are better off to get a Casio G-Shock i/o mechanical watches
Or a Grand Seiko with Spring Drive ;-)

I spoke with a couple of connected people the other day who are not full of shit usually. They are telling me nothing is over. Noob and VSF not going anywhere but yes names may change, quality short term may change once stock on hand cleared. I would still take everything as speculation, time will only show us the true picture.
But I see alot of people here don’t seem to give these guys enough credit. If they are smart enough to produce these sort of pieces I am sure they have plan Bs and plan Cs.
From a common sense perspective government officials just want to be seen as having an impact, they are not trying to wipe them out. If they wanted to they could. It’s China, good luck hiding with their surveillance network. Instead of wiping these guys out they have had just enough breathing space to keep improving.

Yes I know Trusty Time and Puretime do have service option. The last 4 watches I ordered from Trusty Time I included the service, this way I know its been cleaned, lubed, and waterproofed to 5bar.
