I've pulled the trigger on a rehaut 16610LV from Trusty - he tells me that they are in stock with the factory so hopefully I will see some QC pics in the next week or so.

I'm planning some mods to the watch to include VS/VR3135 movement, gen crystal, gen crown / tube and a fix of the bezel issue.

Can anybody please recommend a good UK modder that would be able to undertake these works?

Thx.

I hear great things about Solution6. You could see how your watch does on a water-resistance test too.

So I’ve swapped movements to a vs3135, added a gen crown, and done a little more work on the bezel. I’m using the wso bezel and spring with the Arf tension spring and insert. And I’ve filed all the teeth on the wso to get a smoother click. It seems to work better now, I can live with it. The only issue with the new movement is the alignment of the date in the window. Date sits a little low

There have been other instances of recent VS3135 DW's sitting low. I have one myself in a CF 116613 LB. I'm going to swap the DW out for a VR DW when I can get to it.

I also swapped the movement with the vs
in my case but not only mine as far as I can see the date is slightly shifted to the left

The bezel rotation is my biggest gripe with the watch. Out of the box, the rotation was horrible, the bezel was loose and I was even able to rotate it in both directions. The spring was not engaging correctly. I have a wso replacement bezel, however that was not much of an improvement. The machining on the internal teeth of the wso was far worse than the Ar bezel. But when I put the wso spring into the ar bezel it did function much better. However it still not as tight as I would like. If I add a second tension spring it is too tight, so I plan to thin down a washer and add that, as has been suggested by other users.
Put a couple of creases in the tension ring.

hi guys, i'm asking you more experienced than me we have already said that the crown is wrong because it is that of the gold models
wanting to change it to save something with a rep, is it correct to install, for example, a crown from the CF sub 116610? is it coeval with 16610?
Thank u

Yes, the 6 digit crowns are just fine on a 5 digit.

Same dimensions, knurling, and logo. You may need a new tube, but shouldn't if it is gen spec. Tubes are cheap, so it's not a bad idea to get one with the crown if possible.

Nothing worse with a watch project than sitting down to swap parts, only to realize you need more.

Well I've decided to do a few mods, I've ordered a Deep Crystal, and also want to swap to the VR3135. Can anyone recommend a good source so I don't get ripped off? First time buying a rep movement online.

@Bpyfu RLX crystal gasket part # for the 25-295-C/C12/CAR is 29-295-2 ( -2 signifies 2 pieces...2.5mm and 2.7mm heights for Sub and GMT
I have a question or two, I’ve tried to use the search bar. I’m looking to purchase a gen crystal. None of the options I find come with a gasket. What part number is the gasket I need for a 16610? Also, aftermarket gasket seem to come in different heights. So would I just have to purchase different gaskets and just trial and error them with the crystal until I get it to sit at the appropriate heig

Kind of a disappointment seeing the maxi-dial set-up on a LN.
But as has been mentioned: drop in a LV insert and you're golden.

Never really thought I'd live to see the day that someone didn't grab the reigns after the George's and Thomas's and the likes slowly faded away.
Especially given today's technology that's gotten into the advancements of the cloned mvts paired with the demand for the perfectly cloned 5 digits.

I absolutely agree. If VSF would make a 16610, or by the grace of god a 14060, I'd hold off on a gen purchase. I bought the RAF LN because I figure this is as good as it will get. BP seems to be the only factory still making 5 digits, but they're not gen spec, as nice as they are.

The Maxi LN photos were a place holder as far as I know. I have a 16610LN I received about 2 weeks ago, and it has the proper dial and hands.

Any reason you chose the VR3135 over the VS3135? Datewheel maybe?

Does the case on this RAF16610 have the correct tap to take a gen tube?
